San Diego, '80s legendary new wave music!!!! In the words of Depeche Mode, "We're flying high" and we would love for you to join us as we would love to shake, rattle and roll with you! We've got a couple of posters here coming your way displaying the impending event that will cast the brilliance of legendary musical intentions into the night airwaves. We'll be doing all of this on June 1st with our lovely friends Headmaster at the highly regarded venue known as Deano's Pub!!! Two years ago today, we lost our founding member, Mike Stauffer, who was impactful in our start up and momentum back in 2005 as well as years on. We hold him like a brother and our grief has turned to loving remembrance of a time shared that can never be taken away. Our hearts and warm thoughts go out to his family and friends who hold him dearly in their minds and spirits through countless fond memories. At a time like this, please keep in mind a song written by Dave Wakeling of the English Beat, "The Love You Give Lasts Forever". We're sending love to everyone.

There is no doubt that the Smiths has had an everlasting influence on us. Andy Rourke’s contribution to the musical endeavor that was the Smiths is unique and incredible. He will be missed in our hearts and we thank him for his talent and hard work as us and many others grieve this tragic loss… Much love to his family, friends and fans and much love to him, may he rest peacefully 🙏🏻❤️

Happy Friday FMera friends! We've got some exciting things coming up! For one, we'd like to announce that we'll be playing at this year's "Beatles Fair" in North Park at Queen Bee's!! We'll be playing Saturday June 3rd at 3PM rocking some U2 covers and 80's New Wave covers, following us will be "Headmaster" which is a Smiths/Moz tribute band :) Following that later in the evening will be an Oasis tribute band and the list goes on.

For some quick background, here's the back story about the Beatles Fair:

During 1957 in Liverpool England, a jazz club opened called the "Cavern Club". Apparently it became all the rage and a lot of huge acts got their starts there. The largest claim to fame being that the Cavern Club was host to the Beatles for many years in the 1960's. In 1973, the Cavern Club closed and it became a venue called "Eric's".. Eric's was host to many New Wave British invasion groups such as Psychedelic Furs, Simple Minds, the English Beat, the Clash and so on. As a bit of dumb luck combined with some misguided choices I'm sure may have it, Eric's club was raided by police for drug offenses in 1980 and shut down. Psychedelic Furs played at Eric's on it's last night which of course was the night of the raid. After the shut down, it sprang back up with a new name - "Brady's".. U2 played out Brady's a bit and got a start there.

Anyway, the Cavern Club is a legend steeped in tons of history, tons of love, and tons of my personal favorite - music! The Beatles Fair hosted by Queen Bee's honors the legendary spirit of the Cavern Club and therefore celebrates it with tributes to the music that blossomed from there. There is an indoor stage and an outdoor stage with all the fixings so please come out and join us for our performance and hang with us while we watch some of the other bands! We'd love to spend time with you!! 😄😄😄
