🏞️ Honey won't be joining us in the classroom, but she's living her best life on the farm with our host farmer. 🚜🌾 We'll be receiving monthly updates packed with fun facts, photos, and videos about her growth, daily care on the farm, and the magical journey of milk production!

What do you see around your playground?

The fifth country we traveled to was Australia with our friends Ivy and Jack. We practiced counting 1-20, did ABAB color and shape patterns, learned about the letters Ii and Jj, played the kangaroo letter hop, listened to opera music, and made an aboriginal dot painting. We also ate some amazing Aussie Chicken. Yum!

The fourth country we visited was to Japan with our friends, Gitchi and Hikaru. We learned the letters Gg and Hh, counting from 1-20, classifying items by size, and classifying items by both size and color, and ate amazing japanese stir fry. So yummy!

For our third trip we went to Brazil with our friends Enrique and Flora. We studied letters Ee and Ff, 1-10 counting, classified by color and shapes, same and different activities, read books about Brazil and the rainforest, action movement activities, and explored Brazil's flag and landmarks. Our Brazil lunch was Brazilian Chicken Stew and cheddar biscuits. So yummy! 😋

Our second trip we took a plane ride to Mexico with our friends, Carlos and Dolores. We practiced letters Cc and Dd as well as reviewed Aa and Bb.We practiced more with spacial relationships, read books on Mexico, we played a Mexican jumping bean game, action card games, dance around the hat activity, and visited places such as Cichchen Itza and Lady Guadalupe. We also had a delicious taco bar for lunch and filled up piñatas.

The first country we traveled to was right here in the United States of America. We took the trip with our friends, Annie and Brad. We made crafts, baked apple pies, played action games, letter recognition fun, read books about America, spatial relationship practice, rote counting, shape review, letters Aa and Bb, and visited many places in the USA such as the Statue of Liberty, the Lincoln Memorial, the Grand Canyon and many more! We also looked at how many states were in the United States and located it on the World Map. We also made our own mini apple pies.

Something fun that I will be doing for my local and online students this summer is that I will be sending a postcard from each place Miss Val visits on her road trip. I can't wait to share my adventures with the kids!
