The Valdosta City Schools athletics programs will now use the NFHS Network to offer streaming services of athletic events.

Streaming packages start at $11.99 monthly or subscribers can pay an annual fee of $79.99. Middle and high school gymnasiums and athletic fields have been equipped with devices that will allow for most middle and high school sports to be streamed through the NFHS Network.

The legendary Valdosta Wildcats need a new Game Announcer for Friday Night Football! Do you have what it takes?

Description: Valdosta City Schools is seeking the most qualified candidate to fill the role of “Wildcat Game Announcer”. This individual will announce Varsity Football home regular season and home playoff games. The person hired must follow the NFHS and GHSA policies for Game and PA announcers.

Qualifications: The most qualified person must possess great communication skills, experience with public speaking and be able to follow directives given by school system administrators and/or school officials.

This individual will report to the VCS Athletics Director and/or designee.

SALARY: This individual will receive a stipend per each home game announced. The stipend will be paid at the end of each month until the end of the season. STIPENDS WILL ONLY BE PAID FOR HOME GAMES ANNOUNCED.

APPLICATION PROCESS: Interested applicants must submit via email a Letter of Interest to Mr. Reggie Mitchell at [email protected].

Today the Valdosta Wildcat Hall of Fame Committee inducted Mr. Terry Daniel into the Class of 2024 Wildcat Hall of Fame.

While his induction is ahead of the remainder of this class of inductees, it was equally as special. Mr. Daniel is battling a rare form of cancer and at his sweet wife, Mrs. Brenda’s request, his ceremony was expedited so that he could enjoy this precious memory.

Our “Ticket Man” was overwhelmed with emotion as he accepted one of the greatest honors of his life (his words). Immediately following the induction, his family seated him on his front lawn as a parade of Wildcat well wishers drove by to extend their congratulations. More photos to follow soon.

Help us congratulate Mr. Daniel and feel free to share any fond memories of your experiences with the very best “Ticket Man” to ever exist. Thank you, Mr. Daniel, and thank you to his family for allowing us to celebrate with him today.

Tomorrow, Friday, April 5, 2024 is a special day for Valdosta High School Baseball. The team will play their first-ever game in the new facility. If you are in town, come support our Valdosta High School Baseball team!

An official ribbon cutting for the entire Baseball/Softball Complex will be held soon, stay tuned for more details.

On to Round 2!!

The Valdosta Wildcats will host the Archer Tigers in the first round of GHSA playoffs on Friday, November 10 at Bazemore-Hyder Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm.

Tickets will be sold through GoFan (https://gofan.co/event/1217179?schoolId=GA7328). Sections A, B, F and all visitor’s side seats will be $8 each with a $1.40 fee per ticket. Season ticket holders can purchase their seats at the Wildcat Ticket Office located at 1204 Williams Street. These reserved seats will be sold to the current seat holder for $10 each. Student tickets will be sold at VHS for $6 each. GHSA will not allow for any comp tickets to be issued during playoffs.

Season ticket holders can purchase the seats in their current season ticket packets. If additional seats around them are available, they may purchase those seats as well as long as they are currently unoccupied. Ticket office hours from November 6 through 10 are as follows: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
