Big Nick's recently has moved across the street from its old location to 1201 Baytree Road next to the Dollar General in Remerton.

Sonia is passionate about supporting and managing our wonderful CASA volunteers, ensuring effective case management, and training new recruits among other responsibilities. She’s a proud alumna of Lowndes High School and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Valdosta State University. With her strong background in communications, Sonia brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Originally from Eugene, Oregon, and raised in Valdosta, Georgia, Sonia’s diverse experiences help her connect deeply with the foster children in our community. She’s happily married and a proud parent to four step-children and two adorable English Bulldogs, Piglet and Gus.

Sonia’s compassion shines through in everything she does, reflecting her unwavering commitment to serving and uplifting those in need. Outside of CASA, Sonia loves diving into a good book and sipping on her favorite coffee. She cherishes family time and finds joy in balancing her professional and personal life.

Sonia states, “I am thrilled to have accepted the
position of Executive Director for CASA of Lowndes and Echols Counties, Inc.
This opportunity marks an exciting new chapter for me, and I am deeply grateful
for the chance to serve our community in this capacity.”
