While today was the last day of school and it’s bittersweet, as we will miss our friends this summer, we had a blast celebrating a great year with water day! 💦

With summer almost upon us, it’s time for VBS registration! This year, our Kids Ministry is trying something new. Instead of a traditional style VBS, we will be doing VBS Day Camps! These camps will be 5 Mondays throughout the summer and will combine VBS and Summer in the Son with mission projects as well!

We are so excited for this new twist to a favorite program! This event is available to all children completed K4 - 5th grade. Sign up by scanning the QR code or visiting our website at valdostafmc.org/signups

Brown Bear learned about Paul and Silas and made a craft to remind them of tough times and going to God in prayer.

Today we wear BLUE for Autism Awareness Month 💙

Following the lead of local schools, we will not have school today. Please stay home and away from flood threatened roads.

During the night, we received a flash flood warning that was potentially life-threatening. Given the amount of rain we have received and will continue to receive, we have concerns regarding buses and cars accessing dirt roads and moving through potential flood zones. Out of an abundance of caution, knowing the safety of our staff and students is our top priority the decision has been made to close Lowndes County Schools and the System office for Thursday, April 11th. Please follow Lowndes EMA for additional information and updates. We look forward to seeing our One Lowndes family on Friday, April 12th.
