Just a gentle reminder from your favorite therapist: it's okay to take a deep breath and restart. Life gets overwhelming, and sometimes we need to pause, reset, and begin again with a fresh perspective.
💛 Remember, it's not about how fast you go or how perfect you look. It's about progress, healing, and being kind to yourself.
🌿 Inhale peace, exhale stress. Let’s embrace the power of a deep breath and the beauty of new beginnings.
Your journey is unique and powerful, and every step forward, no matter how small, is worth celebrating. Keep shining, keep breathing, and most importantly, keep being you.
With love and light,
✨ Life can get hectic, and managing your workload can sometimes feel overwhelming. Here are my top tips to help you stay on top of things and reduce that stress:
Prioritize Your Tasks 📋 Break your tasks into smaller, manageable pieces. Focus on what's important and tackle them one at a time.
Take Breaks and Breathe 🧘🏾♀️ Schedule regular breaks to recharge. Step outside, stretch, or practice deep breathing exercises. A moment of calm can work wonders.
Delegate Tasks 🤝🏾 Don’t hesitate to ask for help. Share responsibilities with colleagues, friends, or family to lighten your load.
Set Boundaries 🚧 It’s okay to say no and set limits. Protect your time and energy by establishing clear boundaries.
Celebrate Your Accomplishments 🎉 Take time to recognize and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. You deserve to acknowledge your hard work and progress.
Remember, you are powerful, resilient, and deserving of peace. Let's tackle this together, one step at a time.

Embracing a holistic approach to mental well-being involves incorporating various positive habits into daily life. First and foremost, practicing mindfulness is essential. Taking moments to be fully present, engage in meditation, or practice deep breathing can significantly reduce stress and promote a sense of calm. Staying active is equally crucial; regular physical activity not only benefits the body but also releases endorphins, contributing to improved mood and reduced anxiety. Prioritizing sufficient sleep is a cornerstone of mental health; adequate rest supports cognitive function, emotional resilience, and overall vitality.
Additionally, cultivating a practice of gratitude can foster a positive mindset, as acknowledging and appreciating the good in one's life can lead to increased happiness. Lastly, recognizing the importance of seeking support when needed is paramount. Whether through friends, family, or professional channels, reaching out for help when facing challenges contributes to a stronger and more resilient mental state. Integrating these five tips into daily life can create a foundation for lasting mental well-being.

How do you start your day ladies?
One of the things that I have adopted in my life is morning meditations 🧘🏽♀️ I start with lighting my candles and having one of my prayer statues around (this is lord Ganesha).
After that I stretch my body and then meditate, sometimes I meditate on what I want to manifest, sometimes I just sit in silence and have the morning silence wash off on me.
It really sets the tone for my day 🤍🧘🏽♀️
What do you guys do in the am to set your day off ⏰ ? Drop it in the chat below ⬇️

Although those family members are out of our control what is in our control is the BREATH! So if you are feeling triggered stop, pause and breathe.

I have worked on myself for the last 10 years. It has been one hell of a healing journey! Between therapy, yoga, meditation sound healing and most importantly to me sharing my story so people can know I’m in this struggle with my patients also. What I have learned is my past pain does not define my future blessings PERIOD! Peace and happiness is my birth right and I have spent the last 4 years manifesting that, this picture represents that manifestation. The question is are your finally ready to take that step to be on this healing journey….. it’s time!
Unplugging! Who does it and can you do it? Can you legit go Home turn off the phone the computer and just be with your partner, family, loved ones hell even your pet? If you can’t I implore you to sit with why you always need to be busy why can’t you disconnect what is that all about. Disconnecting is part of self care! And it’s not selfish it’s self care! *tsselfcare
As I reflect on the next few months left in the year, I often think of all the things we think we loose, a relationship, friends, family members. I use to think of loosing so tragically until I started to notice what was after the loss which was always something amazing and life changing . So my friends change those thought patterns you are not loosing yourself your really finding yourself it can be lonely but keep on going……..
There is a great variety of balance poses in yoga. From balancing on one foot to balancing on the crown of the skull. Maintaining balance is necessary for these poses to be successful.
The following are a few ways yoga can help you improve your physical balance:
-Strengthens and stretches muscles and joints directly connected to balance
-In addition to challenging the vision, hearing, and touch senses, it develops the sense of balance in the inner body.
-It helps practice both static and dynamic balance, poses
-Foot and ankle balance muscles and sensors are strengthened
As your yoga practice becomes more consistent, you begin to notice changes in your balance. As your center of gravity shifts, you become more aware of how much weight is placed on the floor. The primary benefit of practicing yoga is maintaining a healthy, stable spine through proper body awareness.
Mental illness is a common issue in the United States, and with stress being at an all-time high, it affects millions of people daily. But mental health issues don't just affect those who have it – it also impacts their family, friends, and coworkers.
This October, National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) and others across the country raise awareness of mental illness during Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW). Let us support, and help people understand mental illness and how it affects people.
It is essential to talk about mental health all year round. Let us normalize ongoing discussions about our struggles with mental health. I am a trauma survivor and for most of my life, I have struggled with triggers that show up in the form of my traumas. It’s being able to discuss this so openly that really helped me to heal and help normalize we are all struggling in a battle no one knows about.
If you need help, send us a DM so we can guide you to some proper resources/agencies that can help.
***The NAMI HelpLine can be reached Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 10 p.m., ET.

MIND MEETS MOVEMENT COUNSELING SERVICE
My name is Katiuscia Gray and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, certified yoga teacher (200hr) and psychotherapist. I graduated from Adelphi University in 2006 with an M.S.W. in Social Work and received my yoga certification in 2018. In 2019, I became a certified clinical child and adolescent anxiety treatment professional (CCATP-CA).
I am the owner of Mind Meets Movement Counseling Services, an integrative health practice in Valley Stream that focuses on individual, group, and family therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults. I utilize unique and creative methods to help my clients get the most out of their sessions, linking mind and body in the process.
I fell in love with yoga in 2010, when I attended a class at the recommendation of my doctor to treat my migraines. It was a restorative class, one that focuses strictly on relaxation with very minimal poses. At the end of the class, my mind and body were so relaxed! I never felt that type of relaxation in my whole life. I was instantly hooked. I deepened my understanding of the connection between mind and body, and began integrating it into my psychotherapy treatments.
