The Taylor Swift Girls Group was rockin' last week as they built skills to have healthy two way friendships! This group consists of 18 members, who meet for one 8-week session, with the goal of increasing confidence and healthy relationships. Not to mention they are having a lot of fun!!!

Kids Group has been busy this summer!!!!
This interactive group is made up of 20 friends who are participating all summer long to grow their mental health!
Over the last week this group worked together to explore the "footprint" that is left online with the information they share and they discussed social media safety tips.
A large portion of this group is about building skills they can use when they feel big emotions. Deep breathing is an excellent tool they are learning how to use!
We are excited about this partnership to help foster peer support! Check out all the events happening this summer - first one is tomorrow!

In the summer we get the opportunity to offer engaging groups for kids and teens hosted all throughout the week! Clients have the option to be involved in various groups that fit their needs and interests. A new group this summer is our Taylor Swift Girls Group! Girls will build emotional regulation skills, self-esteem and communication skills all while having lots of fun!

Courtney is a licensed social worker and works on our team as a clinical therapist and parent support. As a parent support she works with families in our Parenting Skills Program. Courtney says “I love getting to meet with families in various settings and support parents and caregivers in their parenting journey. Parenting is a tough job, so I enjoy getting to come alongside parents and let them know they're not in this alone.”

⭐️ Meeting location is set by the parent based on personal preferences and can occur in your home or in our office
⭐️ Services are billed to medicaid/insurance

Our History
Westwood Behavioral Health Center, Inc., a contract agency of the Tri-County Alcohol Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board, assists residents of Van Wert, Mercer and Paulding counties and is dedicated to providing appropriate mental health, prevention, alcohol and drug treatment, and recovery services in a person-centered environment.
Westwood Behavioral Health Center, Inc. is a private not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community behavioral health agency and has been serving the Van Wert community since 1976. In 1996, the current facility in Van Wert was built and was operating as The Stepping Stones Center, Inc.
In 2001 The Stepping Stones Center, Inc. and Fountainview Center merged mental health and substance abuse services and formed Westwood Behavioral Health Center, Inc. In 2007, Westwood Behavioral Health Center began providing behavioral health services at our Paulding, OH office location and in 2011 added substance abuse services.
