The day after clients I spend my morning going through their photos, updating their albums (yes all my clients have their own album in phone), and making sure their charts are up to date.

Been a minute since I took a mirror pic at my studio! With all the updates and changes to my life the past few months, I have been at Smash Aesthetics less and less.

At first I was upset about it and feeling like I failed at something but then I was GIRL! WHAT?!

My goal when I opened my studio was to create opportunities for myself and work in my passion. I got trained in cosmetic tattooing, not because it was my long term goal, but rather I wanted to put myself in new situations, do things I had never done, and see what else I liked.

My ultimate goal has always been to help people with their skin goals as an esthetician. Because of my trust in myself to open my own studio, complete beauty school, and take some risks/chances, I was ultimately offered a home at Selfish Skin and Wellness where I feel complete.

Today, I decided that come September, I’ll be closing the doors to Smash Aesthetics to spend more time in my passion and my family. I’m not taking this as a loss but as another step toward my ultimate career goals.

The reapply step of the process can be quite a pain if you aren’t used to doing it but there are so many easy ways to reapply!

Didn’t leave a white cast, didn’t have to do any sort of skin prep, doesn’t smell like sunscreen, and fits neatly into a purse/diaper bag/stroller, whatever.

A little over two years ago I was an IG groupie sliding in .esthetics DMs hoping to the skingods that she would be able to help me out.

Looking a face full of acne at 26 years old suuuuucccked. Adult acne is common but when you’re living in a era of filters and fake pics, it’s real easy to think you’re the only one with the problems.

Fast forward some months, she hooked it up with some home care, I was consistent with my routine and my face started to clear!

A little over two years later, I live and die by my skincare routine and whenever the sun is out, I’m somewhere trying to get a pic of my face because a part of me is still in shock that THIS IS MY UNFILTERED FACE!

And to top it off, I now have the incredible opportunity to be trained and work under the same person who put me onto the skin care game back in 2020. Talk about coming fill circle.
