As the mother of a daughter, not only do I have to feel confident in my own skin, but that confidence has to be REAL. We don’t wear make up to be beautiful, we ARE beautiful. We wear make up to feel fancy! It’s important to me that my daughter knows that she is beautiful inside and out, make up or no make up. The self-love and inner voice she will create for herself begins with me 🩷

Now obviously it took some Botox, laser, and a little filler here and there along the way to truly be confident in my own skin sans make up. And that’s 100% OK!, Wrinkles, sun and UV damage, environmental stress and damage all age us quickly. Thankfully, there are treatments to reverse all of these things and I love being able to perform them as well as partake in them! ✨

Self care. We all talk about it. But how much do we prioritize it? I’m the first to admit that it feels next to impossible to schedule time in the day, week, or month to do something just for myself and just by myself. Balancing all the hats, schedules, mental loads, all the things can easily make us (me!) feel overwhelmed. Which means that our need for self care is even more important. You can’t pour from an empty cup, right? So add in that time for yourself this week.

You DESERVE it. You EARNED it. 🏆

BBL for the win again! We treated a moderate case of rosacea with this patient and they completed a corrective series of three BBL’s four weeks apart. These results are truly life changing and confidence boosting! 🤩🤩🤩

I love that there are so many foundations and BB creams with SPF in them. But they cannot take the place of the SPF step in your skincare. Why not? Simply put because it’s not enough. The amount of sunscreen needed for proper protection is easily 3-4x the amount of makeup we wear. Coverage of your makeup (light, medium, full etc.) doesn’t matter either when it comes to sun protection.

Here is my personal product switch up and addition for this winter season! In the morning, I use my gentle cleanser and calming pH toner instead of the exfoliating cleanser and 1/2 a complexion pad (I use these at night still though!). I feel like they keep my skin more hydrated and prepped for the daytime. And if you haven’t already added recovery cream to your lineup, grab it ASAP! It has a proprietary blend of vitamins and antioxidants, and is extremely hydrating and calming…just what we need on these dry cold mornings! Pro tip, slather it on at night after your retinol, or on a non-retinol night do a couple layers (like a moisture mask!) and your skin will feel amazing in the morning!
