Hello! I am teaching an advaced clinical pedicuring class in Salmon Creek from June 16-19 hosted by The North American School of Podology. We are in need of models on Wednesday, the 19th for a free paramedical pedicure.

In this workshop, pedicurists and nurses learn all about feet and how to address certain issues within their scope of practice.

Here are the details:

• What? FREE Clinical Pedicures
• Who qualifies? We prefer seniors, diabetics, men, anyone that has some issues with toenails and skin on the feet like calluses. No “perfect” feet please. 😅
*need to be available for 2hrs*
• Location: La Quinta in Salmon Creek • 1500 NE 134th St, Vancouver, WA 98685
• Date: Wednesday, June 19th
• Times: 2 rounds: 9:15am and 12pm
We need about 10 people.

•What to do? Please show up at the Meeting Room at La Quinta in Salmon Creek. Please note that it will be first come first serve, and if we have fulfilled all models, you might be turned down. 😌

Oh Bunions 🫤 This is called Hallux Valgus. A bunion. A misalignment of the great toe causing a bone protrusion. Biggest cause is tight shoes, pointed shoes. It is rumored it could be hereditary, however, there is conflicting information about this. Regardless…
❓ What can we do?
✅ We educate you. What is it, what causes, the use of corrected shoes.
✅ Correct Shoes: wide enough to fit the width of the foot. Shoes that support their arch and structure.
✅ Use of orthopedic devices like Hallux Corrector, Bunion corrector, toe separators to help align and start moving his big toe. *(See suggestions if you swipe)*
👉🏼 We have these orthopedic devices at the clinique.
✅ Could be corrected by surgery but if client doesn’t follow care directions, It could come back.
❓How is surgery? They break the big toe, put a pin in it to align it. The excess bone is shaved. 😱😭

Juanetes. Término correcto: Hallux Valgus. Una protuberancia ósea causada por la mala alineación del Dígito 1. Causado por zapatos apretados y pointe agudos. Se rumora que puede ser hereditario, sin embargo, no hay certeza.
❓ ¿Qué hacemos?
✅Educar al cliente. Qué es, como manejarlo y el uso correcto de zapatos.
✅Zapatos: que sean anchos en el area de los dedos (toe box), que quepa los dedos y la protuberancia ósea. Que los zapatos soporten y apoyen su arco ya que hay deformidades de los dedos.
✅El uso de aparatos ortopédicos *(ve las fotos ⬅️)*, que ayuden a separar los dedos y acomodarlos como se suponen.
👉🏼 Lo tenemos a la venta en la clínica.
✅Corrección extrema sería una cirugía donde el doc le rompe el dedo, lo alinea, le ponen un pin de metal pata dejarlo derecho. Si la protuberancia ósea es extrema, ellos liman el hueso hasta que se vea normal. Recuperación es larga y dolorosa. 😱😭

I cannot believe it has been a year since the opening of Meliora Beauty Clinique LLC! I moved to our new location on October 31st, 2021 and since, it has been a massive grow.

As a THANK YOU and GRACIAS for your immense support, I want to invite you all to our 1st Anniversary event (hopefully we can make one every year) and Open House as well. It will be an opportunity to hang out, meet Martiza , meet Jazzmin , meet other clients and colleagues, eat good food, win prizes, and enjoy more surprises.
