If you have not started on your business taxes, the extension deadline is sneaking closer. Corporation and Partnership returns are due 9/16/2024.

Scam alerts:
I have 2 separate scams to warn about today.
#1 - client got an email from the IRS with a letter attached stating that they were owed a refund of $ # # #., just click the link and fill out the application to receive your money.
Logo and font looked exactly like the IRS....
The IRS will never email you about this type of matter. Do not click!

#2 - A bank representative is calling from the bank you use.
Hackers are getting smarter and are ruthless. This happened to a senior client and I am sad to say, they were scammed out of money as well as their computer was hacked.
Make sure all files on your computer are secured and password protected. Scan your computer often for viruses, malware and access points. The hacker got access to private financial information which allowed him to impersonate the bank representative and wire money from the account.

Be safe out there. If something seems suspicious in any way, contact some you trust directly to authenticate the call or correspondence.

With gas prices on the rise this summer, the IRS increase the mileage reimbursement rate for businesses.
2022....
January - June miles are to be reimbursed at .585 cents per mile. July - December at .625 cents per mile driven.
