Clark College Libraries
Cannell Library and the Information Commons at CTC support teaching and learning at Clark College.
October is under way! This month in the library we have a few displays for your enjoyment.
First up is our Disability History Month display, celebrating and increasing awareness of the contributions people with disabilities have made, and their impacts on the world.
Our Haunted Horror display is loaded with spine-tingling tales in the form of books, DVD’s and CD’s available for checkout. This collection of materials will make anyone frightened.
Coming soon:
A virtual display on the library blog about Vegetarian Awareness Month is sure to make mouths water with a variety of materials such as cookbooks and growing guides.
Do you have a small child in your life that loves a story? Clark Libraries is hosting story time in the Family Study room (LIB 212) on Thursday, October 31st at 11:00 am. Library staff will be reading 3-4 seasonally themed books from our Renaissance Kids collection.
Accommodation:
If you need accommodations due to a disability to fully participate in this event, please contact Clark College’s Disability Access Center at (360) 992-2314 or (360) 991-0901 VP. You can also visit the DAC in the Penguin Union Building, Room 002, at your earliest convenience.
Library Card Sign-up Month
September is National Library Card Sign-up Month! Educational institutions and public libraries have been celebrating this month-long endeavor since 1987 (ALA Press Kit). What better way to dive back into the school year than to sign up for a library card. Currently enrolled Clark College students can use the barcode on their student ID or ctcLink number to check out library resources such as: laptops, calculators, books, laptop chargers, phone chargers, headphones, DVD’s, CD’s, and periodicals.
Don’t have your student ID? Head over to the bookstore in Gaiser Hall to get one. https://www.clarkbookstore.com/
Not enrolled but still want to check out our resources? The library can make you a community borrower! All you need is to be over the age of 16 with photo identification and proof of address inside Clark County.
Check out the Library website to browse our catalog and place hold requests. https://library.clark.edu/
Keep an eye on our Library Blog for updates about our hours and virtual book displays. https://www.clarkcollegelibraries.org/blog/
