In the month of August iQ visited with every single new teacher at Vancouver, Evergreen, Hockinson, Ridgefield, Camas, Washougal, Stevenson, Battle Ground, and Woodland School Districts. We talked to all the teachers and staff about our FREE programs we offer - like our Read With Me book grants, our Financial Education programs or our special Mortgage program for Teachers and First Responders.

Our Tie Day Friday feature is 4D Recovery. Their mission is to provide a variety of addiction recovery support services to young people. Every day they help adolescents and young adults find and maintain a recovery identity through peer mentorship, supportive housing, drop-in recovery centers, and recovery events and meetings. Our iQ for Kids donation is being used to help create an environment for the 4D Recovery youth recovery center that attracts and retains adolescent clients and creates a fun, safe, and sober place to gather.

As we celebrate Rainbow Day we want to highlight Camp Hope of Southwest Washington. They are a community service organization dedicated to enriching the lives of youth through outdoor-based education, adventure and fun. Camp Hope offers camp to youth ages 9-17, helping them become adventurous learners and lovers of nature. Youth from all over Southwest Washington can explore, make friends, build confidence and release their creativity while attending camp. iQ for Kids' donation helped them stock their summer camps with supplies this year!

OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital offers the region’s broadest range of pediatric treatments – to more children in more places than any other hospital in Oregon and SW Washington. Doernbecher is focused on pediatric care, education and training, research, and community outreach.

iQ has joined with other credit unions in Portland/SW Washington to make a $5Million pledge to support the creation of a new hybrid operating room.

A portion of the funds raised through iQCares Week will be donated directly to support Doernbecher. Now's the time to get involved!

For the second day of iQCares week our staff had a ball ⚽️ showing their team spirit! Of course we need to pick a sports theme for our second nonprofit feature:

Soccer in the Park’s mission is to serve kids in the community by creating a fun, safe environment for them to flourish with other kids their age through soccer. They show their love for kids in the community by offering a free soccer camp filled with fun activities such as crafts and singing, as well as provide them with clothes if needed and food for all – at no cost! iQ for Kids' donation gave Soccer In The Park assistance in their efforts to raise money for their camp’s necessities such as soccer balls, water bottles, snacks, paper products, medical supplies, t-shirts, a jump house, and music equipment for the kids.

We kicked off iQCares week with Hawaiian Monday! Everyone brought their Aloha spirit as we come together to raise money for iQ for Kids and Doernbecher.

Our first nonprofit feature this week is Cloth + Foster. Cloth + Foster provides tangible goods, including clothing, baby gear, shoes, and toys to the foster community. They are an all-volunteer organization able to provide immediate assistance to any foster family in need of their services. This allows families to focus on what really matters when a foster child is entering their home; loving and caring for the child. iQ for Kids $2,000.00 donation this year gave Cloth + Foster the ability to assist hundreds of foster children and families in Clark, Skamania, and Cowlitz counties.

iQ Cares Week, our annual week-long fundraiser, is back! We are raising funds to support both our own nonprofit, iQ for Kids, as well as Doernbecher Children's Hospital. A portion of these funds will go toward building a much-needed new children's operating suite at the hospital.
