Do you have a room that you've become bored with and would like to do something different, but not sure what to do? I am going to share some ideas that may spark your interest and creativity to design a room that will be happy to show off to your friends and family.

1. A room for relaxation, reading or meditation. Decorate this room with comfortable furnishing such as, a soft, comfy sofa, a daybed, chaise lounge or bean bag furniture. Bring in a source of music. Add soft lighting or let in natural day light. Add bookshelves to hold your favorite books. Add a coffee bar or even a wine bar. Decorate with scented candles or diffusers, plants, your favorite throw blanket, and pictures of your favorite things or places. Then relax!

2. A fitness center. Depending on how large the room is, you can add different pieces of workout equipment, a yoga mat, add a juice bar, and hang a tv on the wall to watch your favorite fitness videos or programs while you do your workout routine.

3. A game room. Add a pool or ping pong table if the room is large enough. Add a tv, computers and other gaming equipment. Turn it into an arcade if you're a collector of pinball machines. Or even a miniature golf course.

4. An arts and crafts room. Set up tables and chairs, add cabinets or storage closets for your crafting materials, hang a white board or cork board on the wall to post pictures for new ideas, and let your imagination run free!

5. A man cave. Every man cave needs a tv for watching their favorite sports, and some reclining chairs. Add shelves, stands, or cabinets for your favorite collections or trophies. Add a space to work on your favorite hobby. Add a bar, coffee bar, or soft drink station. Hang trophies, pictures of your favorite things or places.
Let your imagination run wild!

6. A home office. Give yourself the office with a view that you always wanted. Add your favorite desk, comfy office chair, seating for clients or family members. Add office equipment such as a printer, filing cabinets, bookshelves, storage cabinets or anything else you always wanted or need in your new home office space.

I hope this inspires you to do something fun a creative. Turn that boring room into something that you will enjoy using for a long time.
