This was replaced by the prior owner. DIY I guess

The breaker is not the problem.

80 yrs ago today a turning point in how we live our lives today.

We will be closed tomorrow May 27 2024 for the observance of Memorial Day. A time of reflection for our service members.

So I don’t think I personally had ever seen one but here is a temporary transformer for a house that has lost the Neutral from FPL.

They don’t make them like this anymore.

Everyday is different. Every call can be interesting.

If you look closely we can see why this didn’t fit in the GFI properly. Call was for a bathroom just finished but outlets would not work. This is what we found

Doesn’t get cold in Florida too often. Use of space heaters in bedrooms can be problematic. A 15 amp circuit can not handle the load of a space heater normally.

Another new home fan install special surprise.

New home construction still has its faults. Here I removed the drywall screws and retapped the metal box for the proper screw. No ground installed to that metal box. Lucky I was able to pull a bit of slack since the wires were short.

That wire in the red circle was hot to a street light. The fuse was welded and I found out the hard way.
