We’re going live THIS weekend with new forms and new ways to negotiate purchase contracts to ensure buyers agents get paid.
* The purchase contract can state that the Seller is paying ALL Agent fees.
* The Seller can also offer credits and concessions towards closing costs and prepaids
* If the purchase contract specifies the Seller is paying the Agent fees and also offering seller credits, the seller credits can be applied towards other closing costs
* If the purchase contract does not specify that the Seller is paying the Agent Fees BUT offers seller credits, the agent fees will need to be covered by the seller credits or paid out of pocket by the buyer
* If neither seller credits nor Seller paid Agent fees are specified in the contract, then the buyer is responsible for all fees
* once a purchase contract is submitted to Newrez with an agreed upon price, we will not allow the contract to be amended to pay the Agents fees
* Agent fees are not an APR related item and do NOT need to be disclosed on an LE

I became a Mortgage Broker after leaving a beloved job in the medical device field working for a company that felt like family (Mentor).
I didn't think I would EVER be able to enjoy those types of relationships since I no longer worked in a large office building with direct co-workers. No more potlucks, halloween costume contests, picnics on the quad.
Little did I know that I would have AMAZING experiences (like being a guest at the New York Stock Exchange last year to ring the closing bell) and have absolutely fallen in LOVE with being a mortgage broker serving my clients with advice to work through complex financial decisions.
The friendships I have made have grown me as a person and expanded my world beyond what I ever expected as I shifted industries from medical device to financial services. I wont say this is an easy career, but it is SO FRICKEN REWARDING.

My Why
Mortgages are a really important aspect of a person’s financial life and can be the largest financial decision they make. A whole host of emotions and stress can accompany that, and I feel super lucky to accompany them on this journey by providing sound advice, guidance, and a watchful eye on every penny.
I have helped an elderly disabled couple in Santa Maria move-up from a mobile home to their own single family home where they didn’t have the hassle of the park manager yelling at them every time their son visited. They were SO proud to move into their own home with a driveway and garage.
A Vietnam Vet that totally reminded me of my Dad sent me flowers as a thank you for helping him on his refinance to get a new roof. He had depleted his savings because his wife had gotten a DUI. He felt so ashamed and embarrassed, and was so worried about the upcoming rain. After a good talk, and run through of the numbers, he felt hopeful they could get out of this hole. I appreciated the trust he placed in me and I felt truly honored to help. We used his VA loan benefits to get the cash he needed to repair the roof at a lower rate than he was currently paying.
