Each year, the American Public Works Association (APWA) presents the Projects of the Year awards to promote excellence in the management and administration of public works projects, recognizing the alliance between the managing agency, the contractor, the consultant, and their cooperative achievements.

Pacific Coast Land Design, Inc. designed a beautiful project and we were blessed to be a part of it installing all the planting and irrigation.

Front porch column wraps finally installed. 1 more coat of paint and this porch is finito!

Freshly poured radius steps ready for LED lighting and a checkerboard broom finish patio. This ones gaining steam with these dry days!

Finished the front yard of this Camarillo remodel and now starting in on the back. After we demo’d and graded next step is to get the pool shell in. Rebar and plumbing well underway shotcretecoming in a few weeks. Stay tuned.

The lighting on this front porch has been completed. (21) Kichler hardscape lights illuminate the steps and stone accents for a subtle but stunning nighttime view. And the coach lights at front door alcove make this entry warm and welcoming on a cold winter night.

The transformation of one large boring grass panel to a meditation garden was the goal on this project. Paver labyrinth, benches for reflecting, soothing water feature, and prayer grotto make this area so much more useful. And the droigbt tolerant planting, drip irrigation and LED lighting make it much more climate friendly.

"Feeling lit! 😂 Just kidding, but seriously, check out this beautiful Sycamore tree all decked out in low voltage lighting and freshly trimmed. It's the perfect time of year to be giving your trees a little TLC! "

Craftsmanship at its finest! Our front porch build for long-time clients is coming along beautifully with Timbertech decking, stone facing and steps, wooden railing, and an overhead cover. The cherry on top? Low voltage LED lighting to brighten up this grand entry. The rain may be causing delays, but we're making progress! Soon this space will be the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. We're adding custom column wraps to the posts and can't wait to add the finishing touches like paint, furniture, and planting. And stay tuned for our full front yard remodel.

This property's new retaining walls are finally taking shape! This is the first of two property line walls that are replacing the previous failing ones, and will be topped off with stylish vinyl fences. The permit process can be daunting for homeowners, but at Scarletts Landscape, we take care pf all of that for you. The process wasn't without setbacks - rain and other delays tried to hold us back, but with the help our experienced team, we persevered. "

We're loving the fresh new look of our Camarillo clients' front yard! Their remodel included artificial turf for low maintenance, beautiful gravel and pavers for added texture, concrete steps for easy access, energy-efficient LED lighting for a warm glow at night, and drip irrigation for a sustainable touch. New ledgestone facing not only added some great detail to the front of the house but matched the stone from the new firepit and seat wall as well.

We do some pretty cool stuff but this is a first. A precisely scaled model of the original 821 year old labyrinth design from the nave floor of Chartres Cathedral in France.
