At Kiddie College, our philosophy on art is that is should always be open-ended. Art shouldn’t be teacher directed, nor should it be focused on the end product. Open-ended art allows children the freedom to express their creativity.
Yes, this may mean that you aren’t going to receive that perfect piece of “refrigerator art” but our perspective is this: We don’t need a child’s art to look perfect to us, adults. What matters is that the child is proud of their own art and was given the freedom to make their own choices and creatively express themselves 🖼️🧑‍🎨

It’s been a while since we’ve talked about the benefits of cooking with kids. Let’s talk about some reasons you should involve your child in cooking:

1. It promotes healthy eating and a diverse palette.
2. It’s a great way to bond with your child.
3. It helps your child learn to follow directions.
4. It builds confidence in kids.
5. It strengthens fine motor muscles.
6. Language development — They are learning new words!
7. Sometimes, it even involves math and science.

The list goes on and on! So next time you are cooking, consider asking your child to join you! 🧑‍🍳🍽️

Meet our newest teacher, Mr. Tide 🐸 He’s not your average teacher, he’s a frog. Mr. Tide started at Kiddie College in March 2023 as a teeny tiny tadpole. Since then, we’ve watched him transform into the adult that he is 🐸
Mr. Tide is our Head of Hop-erations and boy he is great at this job! 🤩

Why do we love park days? Because playing outside is so good for kids! Giving your child the chance to explore their natural environment and giving them freedom to create their own games is fantastic for brain development and independence.
