This new residential community near CSUCI offers 310 market-rate one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, each with private balconies and stunning views of the Santa Monica Mountains. Residents enjoy luxurious amenities, including a clubhouse, resort-style pool with sundeck, contemporary fitness center, yoga studio, and direct access to nearby hiking trails.

Construction began in September 2022, with the Villas welcoming their first residents in January 2024. Currently, 65% of the apartments are available for leasing. The final two phases will be completed this summer, with the full community ready by August 2024.

McCarthy Companies is proud to be providing pre-construction and general contracting services for this Vintage Housing development to bring more affordable housing to Oxnard.

A developer from Newport Beach named Vintage Housing is constructing 341 units of affordable senior housing in Oxnard near the 101. The complex, named Lockwood Senior Apartments, will consist of two; four-story structures located at Outlet Center Drive and Lockwood Street near The Palms Marketplace shopping center. These units are exclusively for seniors aged 55 and over and will be completely affordable, as confirmed by Joe Pearson II, Oxnard’s planning and environmental services manager.

Vintage Housing is constructing affordable one- and two-bedroom apartments on 7 acres near Highway 101, specifically for seniors aged 55 and over. The development boasts amenities like a swimming pool, dog area, gym, and coffee bar, with 362 parking spaces for convenience. Applications for this low-income housing haven’t opened yet.

In addition to the current project, plans are underway for 234 more units near Lockwood, though these will be at market rates. Keep an eye out for updates as the project progresses through the Planning Commission.
