Kiwanis Club of Venus Texas
Volunteer Community Service
We were thrilled to have the Mentors Care group attend our meeting and share information about their incredible program! They will make such a positive impact on high school students, and we are excited to see the difference they will make in our community. It's incredible to watch people come together to help the children in our community because they truly care, not because they want the credit! If you have any questions about their program or want to get involved, please visit their website or send us a message.

The Kiwanis Club of Venus proudly presented the much-anticipated Kiwanis of the Year Awards this past Friday evening. It was a privilege to gather together and recognize the exceptional individuals and businesses whose contributions have truly enriched our community.
The event was a resounding success, filled with memorable moments of celebration, delicious food, and meaningful camaraderie. Our silent auction exceeded expectations, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, enabling us to raise substantial funds. These proceeds will be instrumental in furthering our mission of serving the community, particularly through our initiatives focused on Childhood Literacy and combatting childhood hunger.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, supported, donated, and contributed to making this event a triumph. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve, and we look forward to continuing our efforts to uplift and empower our community.
A sincere congratulations to all the deserving winners - we see you and we support you!
Proud moment alert! The Kiwanis Club of Venus Texas is thrilled to support Venus Girl Scout Troop 3747's impactful service project on Choking Awareness and Prevention. Last Monday, they presented to the Venus ISD school board, leading to the approval of LifeVac devices on all campuses, even the daycare! Excited to keep collaborating with this incredible group to extend the project throughout our Venus community! 💙

The Kiwanis Club of Venus is proud to partner with Girl Scout Troop 3747 in their anti-choking service project! We are so impressed with the members of this troop and their commitment to this important initiative!
Earlier this month, Girl Scout Troop 3747 of Venus let us know that their troop had taken on a service project to help educate the public on the dangers of choking. Choking is the leading cause of infantile death and the fourth leading cause of death amongst preschool aged children.
The troop will also be raising funds to purchase medical devices that can be used to save someone who is choking.
To assist with their project, Mayor Galaviz has issued a proclamation naming March as Choking Awareness Month in the City of Venus, and is encouraging all citizens to educate themselves and their loved ones on CPR, the Heimlich maneuver, and other methods to reduce the likelihood of a fatal choking incident.
Thank you to Troop 3747 for bringing this important topic to the attention of the public!
Hop on over to the Easter Eggstravaganza on March 30th hosted by the City of Venus, Venus Bible Church, and the Venus Chamber of Commerce! Visit our booth to learn all about the Kiwanis Club of Venus and how you can get involved in making a difference in our community. See you there!
