Dinner was incredible - I had spinach ravioli with shrimp and Ken had roast beef au jus sandwich - peanut butter dessert was to die for 😋 - Prices were very reasonable and our server Lindsay was terrific.

Definitely check it out in the new downtown location! Nice vibe, good music 🎼 , friendly, worthy of everyone’s support! Very nice and clean!

One of the things that we, as Realtors, must always do as we are assisting customers and clients with suggestions for vendors is to provide a selection of choices for them, and not steer them to any one particular company.

Over the years we have added and removed various companies from our lists for a whole host of reasons.

Today we removed a home inspection company. Why would we do this?

You decide ….

Our overseas buyer is buying a house and moving back to 🇺🇸 and selected a company from our list. The house is an adorable place about 1,000 sq feet. The buyer received the inspection report, which said that the inspector could not inspect the washer and dryer because there was clothing in the machines and it’s against their policy to run them and the homeowner could not or would not move them” and also that he was unable to inspect under the two sinks in the house because the owner’s belongings were in the way and they “would not or could not move them” and again, it was against their policy to move them.

All well and good, except for one thing - the owner was there. The inspector never even asked the owner to move the laundry so he could test the machines, or to clear out under the sinks. He literally could have been given quick access to what he needed in mere seconds.

And, the owner’s video security camera did capture the inspector and the owner shaking hands to verify the owner’s presence.

This level of lazy and lying doesn’t fly with us.

So I’m standing outside one of my listings with this lovely couple in their 80s today who want to see this property and more than likely buy it. She’s had a stroke and is wobbly on her feet.

It’s hot and the sun is beating down on us. She wants to go inside and sit down. But I can’t legally open the door without having them sign a document - “Showing Agreement” - because the Department of Justice says so, and the fines are hefty.

So they signed it, they liked it, and me, and wrote a full price cash offer.

Nonetheless, I felt pretty awful having to make them stand out in the hot Florida ☀️

The lawyers who started this??? You’ll get yours some day. I hope it was worth it.

This week’s help story …. an older man who is dead broke, needs to move to an affordable area, needs some expensive home repairs and other assistance before I can do my thing. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to be a 70 year old man crying in front of the realtor you just met.

It seems God always puts me in these situations, and for that I’m grateful.

And for the professionals around town that have hearts of gold for people in need and are willing to help in difficult situations when I ask - you are a blessing and much appreciated 🩷

Waiting in line to pay for groceries while maintaining a 6ft distance, this man cut in line. He didn't appear to notice what he’d done.
The person he skipped didn't say anything, just maintained the proper distance.
When it was time for the man to pay he reached in his back pocket and pulled out a small note pad. He’d forgotten his wallet.
He looked a bit disappointed and embarrassed. The person he skipped stepped up and told the cashier they’d take care of his groceries. (Which only consisted of Milk and Chocolate Chip Cookies.)
He was more than grateful. He kindly thanked them and off the man went.
Upon arrival to the register, the cashier asked: "He cut you off and you paid for his groceries.. Why??"
"They calmly replied with a smile: “I hope that if one day my Dad forgets his wallet, someone will step up and buy his Milk and Cookies"
With all the negativity going on in the world..I thought it would be nice to share this moment.
A little kindness goes a long way. Why not pay it forward?
