So we did a quick little upgrade for the Fitzgerald Family yesterday!!! We took an existing older Samsung TV down and hung their LG in its place. We cleaned up all the old wiring, added a new surge strip, and dressed all the wires cleanly behind the TV. The Mrs.'s was super nervous about me hang the TV by myself, but had it up and secured before she even realized it was done. We helped them set up their streaming devices, showed them how to get their cable TV access without having to have another box to pay for, and we cleaned up all their headend wiring as well!!!

Even though this was a small project, it goes to show that there's no such thing as to small or to large...

We absolutely loved how this project turned out. One of our clients wanted an upgrade to their living room. We removed a 65" LG, and an older Sonos Soundbar, and replaced it with the brand new 2024 model Samsung Frame, a Sonos Amp, and a beautiful pair of Monitor Audio Radius °90 bookshelf speakers. The sound was spectacular especially combined with a wireless Sonos Subwoofer. It was a tricky install because of the stone wall fireplace, but without making any cuts in the drywall other than new plate locations, we were able to make it happen and keep it super clean.

I spent my evening DJing a big party at a golf club and it was amazing!!! I was a professional dj in a former life and this was the first time in over 30 years that I got to legitimately spin and it came back pretty quickly. Getting used to the massive changes in technology from the last time I spun with real mixers, x-faders, and turn tables, to spinning on my laptop was very different...lol

Anyway I just wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY & HEALTHY NEW YEAR & may your 2024 be amazing. Make the best of it no matter what obstacles are in your way, work hard for your dreams, and don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't do something if you truly want it. Anything is obtainable if you just believe in yourself!!!

I finished the gate portion of the big project I've been on for several months and pretty stoked how good it turned out.

750ft fiber run from the main house, full network infrastructure at the gate panel, fully segregated camera system extended to the gate, door station with relay to trigger the gate remotely, surge protection, and a 360° PTZ Camera. All the work except for the fiber pull to the 2nd junction of 3, I did by myself. From the trenching, posts, concrete, programming, etc.

Yes I'm bragging a bit because on the biggest project I've ever done on my own (my company) it is turning out to be everything I promised the client and more. Today please read this and think about the world than and the world now and the division in our country, our government, our culture and how little all that meant 22 years ago on this day😔🙏❤️

Some of us heard about it on the radio, some of us watched it on TV, some of us were in 1 of the places attacked and saw it unfold live, but that day we were rocked to our core...

We were shown that our safety and security was a facade...but on that day we were reminded that we were American and no matter what color, religion, gender, political party, or age, we for a brief moment in time were united...

We watched as the mighty towers fell in NYC, as the symbol our country's security erupted in flames, and as those fighting back kept #4 from taking yet another large target...covered in dust and debris, so many were lucky to survive, but thousands weren't...To those of you who were somehow touched by this agregious horrific moment in time and the years of suffering after, and those still suffering because on that day we were united albeit for a brief moment in time...before its memory was tainted by conspiracy theories, cover ups, and a political chess piece...

On that day we all bled red, white, and blue, and on that day we lost ourselves to the world we live in now...a shadow of the unity we shared because of the largest attack on American soil in our lifetimes...

On this day for those of us who watched in terror and the loved ones we lost...Family, friends, countrymen, first responders...

HER JOURNEY BEGINS!!!

Today we drove Harley to the campus where she will spend the next 2 weeks with the staff and coaches from The Juilliard School Summer program in Orlando. The dorms are amazing and very swanky. The kids that were there, plus the staff all seemed extremely nice. We are so excited for her to finally have this opportunity.

There are so many people to thank for their help getting her to this point. Obviously her mother and I for making music a big part of her life growing up, her grandparents Forrest Tony Cadiz and Melody Cadiz, our closest friends Jon M. & Meredith Edie LaRue, all the people who tipped extra during my Uber shifts, and my Karaoke shows at Arturo's American Grill, Vero Beach Eagles, and American Golf Club Bar & Grill aka The 19th Hole Bar & Grill, all of you who sent contributions over the last 8 months, and one of her biggest fans & supporters Kevin Elliott/Skippy Elliott...He loved her and loved hearing her sing. He even had her doing the National Anthem at many of our race weekends as some of you remember I'm sure.

This evening Jenni Lynn got a text from her telling her about one of the pieces of music they will be learning which ironically was one of Kevin's favorite songs to sing at Karaoke...What a wonderful world by Louie Armstrong. I think this was a message from him letting us know that he is watching.

This is her first time away from family and friends for more than a week and we can't wait to hear about everything!!! They will have a big show on July 8th to demonstrate everything they all have accomplished in this accelerated program!!! I'll post more details later. For now please give her a huge round of applause!!!

What do you do when there's no wall in line with your bed to watch TV???
A long throw articulating mount with properly secured installation...even with metal studs in a condo like this. Our client wanted the ability to push the TV flat or have it in an easy viewing position from bed. Caddy corner wouldn't have worked and would have obstructed his 21st FL Penthouse view of West Palm Beach. So we gave him an easy to adjust option that made sense for the room layout.

All wires hidden, and equipment cleanly attached to the back of the television for a super clean look with easy serviceability and functionality.

So the big project is moving right along!!! All the pre-wire is complete and inspection has passed!!! But I just wanted to share my our OCD😉🤣 Even in the walls everything must be pretty🤣

So we were bidding on our first big project against some other big companies! We did what we always do and made the client and the builder feel confident that they were going the right direction for the project.

After building up their confidence we got a call asking to make some very minor adjustments and BOOM!!! We beat out the big guys and landed the deal!!!!

Super excited to prove ourselves in a very competitive market and even more excited to flex our muscles for the builder and earn more of his business!!!

WOOHOO!!! 2023 IS STARTING TO GET BETTER!!!

1 of the projects is a complete rewire of a home that we completed in the spring and the client wanted to change the room layout, and another is an outdoor space with a sweet Tiki living area in a luxury private Motor Coach community with retractable walls, 2 tv's A/C, a full kitchen and a lounge area. Just another example of no job too small!!! Client had some stuff already purchased but wanted a professional to install everything! Well we treated this like any other install and any other client...like they're the only one!

We love doing things to make lives better at home. So we helped out our dear friend Ms. Sue. Her and her "boyfriend" Dave. They are a tad older and needed someone to update their systems inexpensively because they are retired and on fixed incomes so most of the products we installed were donated and only charged labor. We donated a remote system with RF so they wouldn't have to point, the AVR to connect to her existing speakers, and a 50" flat panel TV. We also put a brand new 43" Samsung in her bedroom, and made the programming really simple for them to use!!!

Just finished saving a client thousands on a system I installed a little over a year ago when I was working for someone else.

We got LG to extend the factory warranty and repair their beautiful LG OLED I installed a little over a year ago for a bad panel. All it took was 1 simple call to LG.

LG sent a certified repair company and they replaced the panel...How much did it cost the client? $0 with the exception of my costs to put everything back together and update all the software and hardware.

Another happy client as usual!!!

WOW!!! What a year!!! Even though I technically started my journey of full self-employment in August of last year, yesterday was the "Official" 1 year anniversary of being completely independent! There have definitely been a couple tough months here and there, but 1 year in and we are not in heavy debt, and I was able to run a full multi-regional race season, something I've never been able to do. I was also able to travel to run multiple Roadracing schools in different parts of the country, do 1 on 1 coaching, and control my schedule.

I know this all sounds great, but it wasn't easy. It wasn't cut and dry. To make sure there is always money coming in even during slow periods I'm working 3 jobs... , , and I am also an a few nights a week, but all allow me to control my schedule and live a fairly stress free life. To be able to pick up and go whenever I want and or need to is the most freeing feeling, but when it's time to work I work hard. I'm not rich, not financially free, but no government subsidies keeping my small businesses open and operating, no loans, and nobody standing over me micromanaging me...and that is the ultimate freedom!

Thanks to all my students, my clients, my passengers, my family, and my friends who have all been part of this journey and I look forward to another great year of freedom and success, and I hope to continue posts for my businesses and sharing my projects and schools with everyone!
