FACE POT WORKSHOP - With Phil Lyons (former Madison West Ceramics Teacher)
Face pots have been created for thousands of years - from Precolumbian, to early African ceramics, to American Folk Art! Many contemporary clay artists have also embraced this rich tradition. Two of Phil's favorites are Jun Kaneko and Madisonian
Workshop participants will view a variety of face pot examples and images plus a demo by Phil. He's been making face pots and cups for almost 40 years and has plenty of tips and tricks to help you achieve success. Students will have at least 75 minutes to create their own FACE POT using a slab process.
I’m honored when I receive these types of reviews. I never knew I’d love teaching so much!! I aim to help students learn to throw, but also I am passionate about helping people leave their stress at the door and immerse themselves in the flow of the process. ✨
Classes available on our website in bio. 😉
(If you have 4 or 5 people, we can set up a private!)
So excited for these members showing for gallery night tonight! Come on over, we’re here until 9! 🥂🌟
This class has been popular so we added another session. This will be the last offering so if you’re on the fence, it’s time to jump in!
