Now that things have settled down a bit, I can sit down and properly write down the things I've wanted to say the past few weeks. First of all, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everybody that voted for me in the MAMA Awards (Madison Area Music Association Awards) this year. Taking home the Alternative Album of the Year was such an amazing surprise.
This post is not only to thank all of you for voting, but for all the people that made this album what it is. There's no way that this album would sound as amazing as it does without all the help I had along the way.
First and foremost, most of the engineering was done by Skylar Nahn. His vision and expertise took this record to a whole new level. Thanks brother. We also had a lot of help and inspiration regarding the philosophy and attitude for recording from Nate Meng, and Ryan Lansing from Sunday Night Records - Madison, WI as well as John Parker DeHaven. Thank you guys.
Thank you to my session players Joshua Stern, Allison Lenz, Maggie Poff, John Parker DeHaven, Skylar Nahn, Brett Walter, Amy McNally, and Mark Davini. I had faith in all of you as my friends to understand where my music came from, and to help me create the feelings I couldn't portray with just my guitar and voice.
