Welcome Fire and Emergency Medical Service Cadets!
Public Safety Cadets is pleased and proud to announce the creation of our Fire/EMS Sector! PSC’s Law Enforcement Sector is strong as ever, with a growing presence in over 40 states! Those units are creating positive experiences for countless youth who are making meaningful contributions to their communities while focusing on future careers in law enforcement.
Now, members of the Fire/EMS services will be able to provide those same types of opportunities to youth in their communities while preparing them for careers in the Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
Getting started is as simple as completing and submitting a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to initiate your agency’s partnership with PSC. Upon completion of the MOU, your PSC unit will have access to PSC’s general liability insurance, standard operating procedures (SOP) and other resources. Registration fees are $20 per Unit (increasing to $25 Jan. 1, 2025) and $15 per Mentor and Cadet (increasing to $20 Jan. 1, 2025).
So, if your Fire and Emergency Medical Services agencies are looking for a way to recruit and retain good candidates while engaging the community in a positive way, contact us at [email protected] or (703) 717-8168.

At our most recent meeting, the Cadets got to experience life on the other side of the radio as 911 call takers and public safety dispatchers! One team was presented with mock 911 calls for service that they had to complete CAD notes for, and then the second team had to assign and dispatch police, fire, and EMS units to those problems using local unit numbers and a map of the city.

GRADUATING SENIOR SPOTLIGHT
AVERY GOTH
As Commencement approaches, we are highlighting our majors, minors, and non-majors who have had a significant impact on the theatre program throughout their time at UW-Platteville. We asked them to reflect on their years as a Pioneer Player and asked them what the future holds.
What is your most memorable experience in the theatre during your time here?
My most memorable experience with my time in this theatre program has to be my performance as Callie in STOP KISS. It was by far one of my absolute favorite shows I've ever had the pleasure of performing in. I will always remember how amazing the cast and crew was and all the hard work they put into making such a wonderful production come to life.
What is the most significant lesson you learned during your time with the theatre program?
My most significant lesson I've learned is to never be afraid to take the risk and to believe in my capabilities. Taking a risk and failing will always pay off much more than never trying at all. Allowing yourself to make your own choices and try new things will pay off in the end.
What are your plans for the future?
In the future I plan to pursue my career within the theatre world and go wherever life takes me. I truly love all aspect of theatre whether it's acting, building sets, stage crew, or directing, I plan to do what I love and take all of my experiences here with me wherever I go.
Congratulations, Avery! We are so very proud of you!

👋 Welcome Class 24-02!
While many people are excited for the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduations this weekend (ourselves included), we’re especially excited for a graduation still a few weeks away. Six new employees began with us on Monday, and they’ll be graduating from their classroom training in just a few short weeks.
From left to right, help us welcome: Garrison, Gail, Brad, Stacie, Mitch, and Katie! We can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make in Dane County in the coming years!
Cadet Johnson began his tenure with Post 2368 in February of 2020. Despite the rollercoaster of the pandemic right as he joined, C/ Johnson continued to actively serve with Post 2368 all the way up until his recent 21st birthday. C/ Johnson moves onward to pursue higher education at UW-Platteville, and we know he will still be around to support us by way of scenario actor volunteer because he never passes up a chance to be a scenario bad guy!
