It is with a heavy heart and incredible sadness that I let you know of the passing of Phoenix Police Officer Zane Coolidge #10914.

Officer Coolidge was a husband, father, son, brother, friend, and a dedicated and beloved member of the Phoenix Police Department.

Since Tuesday night’s shooting, Officer Coolidge put up a valiant fight, despite the odds being against him.

He has been surrounded by loved ones and blanketed in the prayers of this community. The injuries he sustained after the cowardly acts of another were just too much for him to overcome. Officer Coolidge’s legacy will forever be a part of this Department.

Officer Coolidge’s family is dealing with unimaginable grief. We will do everything we can to help them through their darkest hours, and we pledge that they will always be a part of the Phoenix Police Family. I ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

This is also a very trying time for our Department. We have felt the outpouring of support from our community over the past few days and we know that will remain unwavering.

We will hold our heads up high and do our fallen colleague proud, by continuing to serve our community with the courage and integrity that is Phoenix Police Department.💙🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🇺🇸

Today marks one year since we laid to rest Deputy Scott Smith, a cherished member of our community and a dedicated School Resource Officer at Central Middle School. Deputy Smith was more than just a law enforcement officer; he was a mentor, a friend, and a guiding light for countless young people. His passion for serving others, particularly the youth, was evident in everything he did. He built lasting relationships with students, staff, and parents alike, always offering a helping hand and a listening ear. His kind disposition, laugh, and sense of humor brought smiles to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Today, we honor his memory and his service, and we continue to feel his absence deeply. Rest in peace, Deputy Smith. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew you.

📌One year since the shooting, Officer Haley has undergone nearly a dozen surgeries and procedures!

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Louisville Metro Police Foundation shared an update on Officer Brandon Haley, who was shot in the Chickasaw neighborhood while making a traffic stop back in 2023.

On Sept. 7, Haley was critically injured after he was shot in the chest after getting out of his cruiser. LMPF said the shooting severely damaged his liver, lung, diaphragm, and spleen. Four men from Louisville have been arrested in connection to the shooting: Dominique Edward Thompson Jr., 27; Quantez Porter, 28; Jemond Groves Jr., 21; and Jacquan Ransom, 29.

However, no one has been charged with shooting Officer Haley.
