Habitat for Humanity of the Mid-Ohio Valley
Habitat for Humanity of the MOV has built 114 homes in the MOV! We are at work on our next three now!
Another great lunch at our current home-build in Beverly, provided by Penn Station East Coast Subs! Thank you for feeding the people who feed our hope for affordable housing in the MOV! 🏡
If you or your organization would like to contribute to lunch for our volunteers on a current or future build, please message us your contact information or call us at 304-422-7907!
🌟 A huge thank you to all our amazing Habitat MOV volunteers! Whether you contribute through construction, the ReStore, our board, or various committees, your dedication to supporting Habitat and the housing needs in the MOV is remarkable.
🎉Congratulations to Mike Tucker for receiving the Ray of Light Award! Mike has consistently gone above and beyond to support Habitat, serving in numerous volunteer roles over the years.
🙌🏻A special shoutout to Wes McCready for securing the DERC space, which was perfect for our gathering.
🎶 And a big thank you to Roy Clark Jr. and friends for gracing us with their incredible music as we celebrated and enjoyed fellowship together.
Thank you again to all of Habitat's amazing volunteers. Your contributions, big and small, make a significant difference in our mission to provide safe, affordable housing! 🏡💖

We had an amazing volunteer appreciation dinner last night! Roy Clark Jr and Friends entertained us, and Mike Tucker was the recipient of the annual Ray of Light award. We so appreciate everyone who brought incredible desserts! More photos to come. We just didn't want to miss the chance to offer an immediate THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers and those who contributed to last night's dinner!
Yesterday, the lunch provider on the construction site in Beverly was Panera Bread in Vienna. We want to thank Panera Bread for all of your contributions, not just to Habitat Volunteers but to many community organizations. Your support is greatly appreciated.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: The siding installation is underway, and painting will begin soon. Soon, we will welcome another Habitat homeowner to their new home. We are incredibly grateful to all the contributors who have helped make this possible.

Big thanks to CAS Cable !
The Habitat construction volunteers find working on this repair project very rewarding. They have enjoyed seeing the huge smile on the homeowner's face and her excitement about how much easier it will be to get in and out of her home. Habitat MOV Minor Home Repairs aims to help homeowners stay in their homes by making them more accessible.
If you have any questions about this program, please visit our website at www.habitatmov.com/repair or call the office and ask to speak with Stacy at 304-422-7907 ext. 302.
Thank you so much to Tony at Penn Station East Coast Subs for supporting Habitat MOV and the volunteers making an impactful difference for homeowners around our community. Today's lunch from Penn Station hit the spot!
Check-in tomorrow to see the progress of this minor home repair currently happening in Vincent. A new deck and a small ramp are making this home more accessible for the homeowner.
The team from Praying Pelican Missions has arrived at the Habitat ReStore MOV - Vienna, WV, once again this week. Along with the Pelicans, Emmanuel Baptist Church brought a youth group to assist the staff at the ReStore in preparing for the week. A big thank you to all the incredible, hardworking teens and their leaders. You have truly been a blessing to Habitat this week.
Welcome aboard, new Lisa! :)
🎆🎇Happy 4th of July from Habitat MOV! Our offices and ReStore are closed today but will reopen on Friday. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful Independence Day celebration! www.habitatmov.com
Come and pick up a box full for your grandkids to play with!
When you have a meeting at the The Amputee Center, they make you get on their crazy exercise contraptions! 😂
Seriously, when you think about who might need a repair/ramp project, the clients here come to mind. Great meeting today discussing needs, funding, and collaboration!
Lisa and Brian are in the studio at CAS Cable , working on a new commercial for Women Build! Big things are coming! Register to volunteer now at www.habitatmov.com/volunteer. Lend a hand up to a family home. ❤️
Lots of us at Women in Leadership conference with Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley ! The subject: Grace in the Workplace.
Lisa and Robin are in Columbus at the Statehouse today with Habitats from around the state. We are advocating against Senate Bill 94, which threatens the Ohio Housing Trust Fund’s funding model. 200 organizations from around Ohio signed on in support of maintaining the historic 50-50 split in recorder’s fee revenue, which aids affordable housing efforts.
We're in a meeting right now about increasing construction costs, and looking for ways to reduce costs. Top Shop has so generously donated cabinets and countertops for homes we build through 2025. Next, we need bathrooms. We're looking for bathroom fixtures - toilet, sink, tub, faucets - as a sponsorship for our homes. Does your company have these? Can you help? Message us if you'd like to help reduce the cost of homes!
Abby and Stacy Workman represented Habitat at the third annual Housing Expo at St. Joseph's Landing this evening. Thanks for assisting Mom, Abby! :)
Volunteers from Delran joined our staff to put a ramp on this lovely lady's home. We appreciate the opportunity to help people like Stacy, who was having increasing difficulty getting in and out of her house. She expressed her appreciation repeatedly! Thank you to funders, including Sisters Health Foundation , Parkersburg Area Community Foundation, and CSX for your support for our Minor Repair Program!
Proud of our ReStore staff!
Habitat for Humanity of the MOV has always stood for fairness and equality for all. As we celebrate Juneteenth, we acknowledge the significance of this day in American history. On June 19, 1865, the last remaining enslaved African Americans were declared free in Texas, marking the official end of slavery in the United States. Today, we commemorate the historical importance of Juneteenth.
The Habitat office and ReStore will be closed today in observance of Juneteenth. We will resume regular hours tomorrow.

Whether you're a homeowner, a board member, a volunteer, a donor, or a staffer, we appreciate all of you Habitat dads who help provide stability for our families. Enjoy your day! ❤️
The Habitat volunteers in Beverly were treated to an exceptional lunch by Alex and Marci with Waterford Commercial and Savings Bank, today's Lunch Sponsors. Thank you, WCB. You sure did provide the best with this meal. Just look at that presentation...it's a house! 🏠

At this morning's staff meeting, ED Robin Stewart talked about the tenets of Habitat. As a radically inclusive organization which started in the fields of Georgia, Habitat for Humanity was born of a desire to work equally with all people toward decent, affordable housing. Today we were reminded of why we're here and the basis from which we operate.
John Gazzale, Exalted Ruler of the Marietta Elks, presented a check for $2000 to Habitat MOV today. The Elks are volunteering on the Beverly house this weekend, and we appreciate their support greatly! Thank you, Rev. John!!
Thank you to the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation for an operating support grant of $20,000! We so appreciate your ongoing support of our mission.
THANK YOU, Penn Station East Coast Subs, for providing the Habitat MOV volunteers with a great lunch. You can see their smiles as they return to work after the Penn Station lunch. It was so tasty, and the bonus of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, yum.
The volunteers are working on the Sargent family home in Beverly. Today's projects are drywall installation and completing the front porch. Looking great, everyone!
Big things in store tomorrow! ;) 🧐
Our trucks were out until 9:00 PM tonight for a special occasion to bring back some items to the ReStore, so if you see a tired staff member or two tomorrow, just know they were out late enrichin’ our mission! 🌖 🏠
Lisa joined Keith to talk all things Habitat this morning!
The Praying Pelican Missions team landed again at the Habitat ReStore MOV - Vienna, WV, to complete the parking lot painting project. It looks fantastic! We are so blessed to have such a caring and hardworking group of teens, and adults come together to serve and help us with such a big task. Thank you so much to The Escape for hosting this group and helping to connect us with them.
One of our board members sums up Habitat beautifully. ❤️
