Our Appleton, Wisconsin plant gathered volunteers to help out at Feeding America in March! What a great turnout and an even better way to spend the afternoon!

Our team was able to help by scooping cereal, bagging it, weighing it, and putting the finished product in boxes resulting in nearly 3,500 meals!

McCain celebrated by hosting a virtual event with Ontario’s first Poet Laureate Randell Adjei. He spoke about Black excellence in the corporate realm, how to be a better ally by providing safe spaces for colleagues and the importance of bringing our whole, authentic selves to work.

“The world is constantly telling us who we should be and how we should be,” shared Randell. “Sometimes, we feel like we have to be what we’re not to be accepted. Remind yourself who you are, celebrate your history and negate what people have said you should be to be accepted and loved.”

A heartfelt thank you to Randell for his inspiring words, to Shevelle T and Alex Hall for co-hosting and to our Racialized People and Allies resource group for organizing an outstanding event. 💛

Recently, Taylor Hillmann, a Production Management Trainee at the Plover Fry Plant presented to a Family & Consumer Science class at WR Lincoln High School on our process from Farm to Fork!

The presentation featured 5 stations: Planting to Harvest, Storage to Receiving, Processing, Packaging, and Jobs and Careers. Aligned with Wisconsin State Standards in Food Science, students explored resources at each station, piecing together McCain's farm-to-fork process. This hands-on experience allowed them to discover career opportunities at McCain through exploration, research, and formulation.
