Juneteenth marks the end of slavery in the United States, commemorating June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved people in Texas were informed of their freedom, two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

As we reflect on this important day in history, we stand together in unity and continue our commitment to equality and justice for all.
