Two Great Events Coming up in October to Honor and uplift Women Veterans! If you are a woman veteran you should consider going so you can connect with service providers and other women veterans! Please share with any other women veterans you may know.

Free Grandstand seating for Saturday's game!

Join us this Saturday for our Military Appreciation Night! Any active or veteran members of the military get in for free thanks to Drill Sergeants Military Supply on Caldwell Ave. in Visalia! 7pm game time, gates open at 6:00!

Congratulations to our very own Shayne Nicholas for being selected for the academic excellence award! This award recognizes one COS graduate for their exceptional academic achievements. Shayne has maintained a 3.9 GPA while pursuing coursework toward transfer in geomatics engineering. Shayne has excelled while being a full time husband and father as well as a work study student, peer tutor and being an active member of multiple clubs and community organizations. We are so proud of Shayne and our six other honors graduates.

Lowe's expands, changes its military discount program All honorably discharged veterans now qualify, along with active duty and retirees. But you'll need to sign up online.

The Veterans Society is selling tickets to a Visalia Rawhide game on May 5th. Tickets are $11 and available for purchase in the Veterans Resource Center. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Veterans society.

Don't forget that today is giving Tuesday! Your donations to the COS Foundation on behalf of the Veterans Resource Center will go towards furthering the mission of the VRC to meet the academic, social and physical needs of veterans, active duty service members and their families. March for veterans' issues

Still saving lives.

Hello everyone, just a few updates and reminders.
*Tomorrow March 1st we will be having a club meeting in the office at 1100, then another at 1600 at Brewbakers.
*We have a new shirt design, they're $20 and if you want a customized shirt with branch, rank, etc. then your payment and info MUST be in by Monday March 7th.
*Breakfast Burrito Fundraiser: Monday March 7th we will begin to advertise and take pre-orders. Tuesday March 8th we will prep and sell. Prep begins at 0500-0600 at my house and also Zammies', selling will begin at 0800 on campus. We are currently behind the cost to make this happen so any volunteers and donations will be greatly appreciated.

We will be holding our first meeting of the spring semester tomorrow (Wednesday 20 JAN 2016) at 1300 hrs. Please be there if you would like to be an active participant in the club this year.
