Folks, I am so happy to had my pool filled up with dirt with decomposed rock on the surface. Now it is like walking on the beach. After 35 years in this house with a large swimming pool along with a 18 feet diving board, I finally decided to retire my pool for the following reasons.
1. Increase cost of weekly pool service and its maintenance fees to filter, lights, sweeper, tile work, leaks, etc.
2. Decrease in home insurance without a pool due to the decrease in legal liabilities.
3. Decrease in property tax without a pool.
4. I do not have the time to spend on weekly pool sweeping and general clean up (which I or dog walker had to do on top of the weekly pool service).
5. Decrease in electric and gas utilities because of better energy efficiency without a pool.
6. Decrease in safety hazards which is a big selling point for senior citizens. There were many a times when I almost fell in the deep end when tripping over a water hose or push by the dog. The diving board and its large platform were just as dangerous especially when wet. Keep in mind that I never learn how to swim.
7. Increase open spaces which I can put it to better use.
8. Pool had not been use for 20 years. Last two groups of young people at the house sat around the pool and looked at their IPhones for hours not even getting their feet wet.

Center for Integrated Medicine- Successful patient outcome goes to the following. R.O. has not had a gout attack in over a year, but he is consistent with his acupuncture & herb appointments to work on chronic inflammation and blood stagnation. Infertility patient L.S. is now pregnant after 4 months, but is still keeping her appointment with herbal medicine to prevent miscarriages and pregnancy care. M. L. is 98% recovery from Bells Palsy (Rt. side of her face) after many months of acupuncture, herbal medicine and manual therapy massage, but continues her monthly office visits to boost her Wei Qi and tonification of blood to enhance circulation and increase energy. A.M. had not had a sinus infection in over 1&1/2 years and no need to be on monthly antibiotics, but continues his monthly acupuncture, herb and tai chi appointments to help his chronic inflammation, gut health and Qi deficiency (leading to wind damp invasion of external environmental changes). Congratulations to these patients. A good example that some of my patients do follow my instructions...............Dr. Kwong
