Keep your cool this September!

Greetings Everyone,

This newsletter is late. I had hoped to be able to convey some information regarding the business, but due to the Housewarming Party eating my time and brain, I don't have it yet. There will be a special edition newsletter coming out later this month. Keep an eye out for it.

As I have mentioned in previous newsletters, September is considered to be self-improvement month. I am grinding through PT exercises every morning to rehab my knee (it got messed up last December and has been wonky off and on ever since). I hope to be able to spend more time at the pool and am watching the foodstuffs I put in my mouth. Mentally, I am trying to do the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. I find it game changing for creating a mindset to succeed.

Are you thinking of taking on something to improve yourself? If so, what? As usual, I encourage you to consider taking care of your body and mind. This may mean massage, Reiki, hypnotherapy or meditation. Maybe you are drawn somewhere else. I support who you are and whatever you are doing.

Meanwhile, as a reminder, my hours are as follows:
Sunday & Monday: 9am to 3pm
Wednesday: 1:15 to 6pm

August: American Adventure Month

Salutations My Dears,

This year I wandered less, but still had wonderful adventures. I had a lovely time in Catalina for my Anniversary. We took a ferry to the islands and dolphins surrounded us. We hummer up the mountain and on all sides we were surrounded by a thick mist like we were ascending into an action movie....or a horror movie and then surpassed the clouds into a gorgeous blue sky. We learned about the aggressive, poison proof squirrels that share their den with ground owls. Then afterwards onto a glass bottomed submarine to see the glorious schools of fish and the breathtaking kelp gardens. So much food. So much beauty. So much love. A lovely anniversary indeed.

Then I did Comic-Con for 5 days as I do. This was the convention that renewed my joy in Comic Con. My friend and I experienced the convention in a flow state. Many small miracles occurred. Many lovely interactions. And in the midst of it all, I attended grandma's 91st birthday party. Just thinking about it, I feel blessed. Was it perfect? No. Were there challenges and obstacles both mental and physical? Yes. I loved it all and wouldn't change a thing.

What are you doing this summer? I hope that whatever adventures you are having, local or abroad, that you find joy and refill your cup. Also, it is super hot out there - stay hydrated and keep out of the sun during the hottest hours of the day, if you can. Take care of yourself.

Things are heating up.

Happy July one and all,

I am late getting the newsletter out again. Travis and I went to Catalina for our anniversary on the 3rd and I just dropped the ball. We had an amazing time! Rode in a submarine and took a Hummer to the top of the mountain. We learned about the Rambo squirrels on island who are immune to rattlesnake venom and that share their burrows with Ground Owls. And we ate so much yummy food. Lots of loafing around too. So, Life is still good and just getting better.

You might be curious as to what's going on with the business? Well, first of all in an effort to work with the City of Vista - I've changed the name (as you can no doubt see) and removed any mention of massage. Which meant creating a new website with a new domain, and new business email. I am still in negotiation with the chiropractor downstairs to get a legitimate massage license. But as things stand, I, at least, wanted to get a legitimate business license (Vista requires both); I have applied for the business license under the new business name and at least that is in the works.

The current business model will be offering nutrition counseling and sound healing. I am doing my best to get the massage half of the business to be in alignment with the City of Vista requirements - I haven't given up.

June - a month of waiting.

Happy Days Everyone,

So. It's June 12th. This is the latest that I've ever put a newsletter out. I kept hesitating because I really wanted to have definitive news about my status here in the building. I have made tentative progress with the chiropractor downstairs in regards to contracting to him; if I can get him to agree, the city will give me a license. His responses have been positive but...non-committal. I'm looking for something in writing I can give to the city of Vista, but it's better than nothing. And I know that doesn't inspire peace of mind.

That said, I am still here and I haven't given up. I really believe that I can resolve this issue with the city. Don't give up on me. What I am saying is - I literally can't do this without you. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
