Fall Mini Captures

This sweet girl opened up so much with me in the little time we had together. I had attempted to take her school portrait just days before and she was jumping in and out of the frame with every click grabbing for her mom. It was so nice to witness the results when you show a good amount of patience with children! Patience is one of my best qualities that I can bring into this work. Rather than forcing behaviors out of people I barely may know, I allow them to first find their comfort zone and then to be themselves in that space.

Spring weather in the air has me daydreaming about family sessions! I’ll be on maternity leave from late April until late August but between now and late summer, we can make art and have a blast together.

Nothing compares to those behind the scenes moments with a bride. Hair and makeup ladies have left, only mother, maybe some of her closets stick around... and it may be a very short amount of time, but its priceless!
