Open position: Estimator
*Analyze drawings & specifications for each project
*Submit any RFI's/questions/need for clarification for work to be bid
*Attend any site visits and or pre-bid meetings for projects being bid
*Perform accurate material & quantity takeoff for entire scope of work
*Obtain any needed subcontractor bids & material quotes from suppliers
*Create accurate cost estimate based on quantity takeoffs, project drawings & specifications
*Submit bids, either on company proposal form or project specific bid form by deadline
*Attend bid openings as required
*Assist with call in requests for estimates on non-engineered projects as needed

***Specific Software/Tools Used***
*Carlson Takeoff R10-Cad software utilized for dirt takeoff
*Vu360- On screen takeoff software
*Microsoft Office

Requirements:
Team Oriented
Accounting Experience AR/AP
Computer Proficiency
Experience with computer applications, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft
Professional telephone etiquette
Pleasant temperament
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs (for filing)
Must be able to work alone in a time efficient manner (time management skills!)
Notary Certified is a plus (not a requirement, but willing to obtain certification)

Must be capable of Driving a Haul Truck to move assorted pieces of earth work and paving equipment. Applicant will need to have general knowledge of how to start and load all types of construction equipment. Must be able to drive Tandem Dump Truck hauling & dumping materials. Need drivers with experience and references.
