A little festivity before Thanksgiving never hurt anyone! 😇

Tuesday, 5-7pm

We are so lucky to have this opportunity to enjoy time together and celebrate the holidays. Thankful for the smallest things… like being able to have classes today, a dinner together tomorrow, run and clean dances, all of the silly antics that go on in the lobby and dressing rooms, sore bodies everyday, even the opportunity to pull on the dreaded pink tights and black leotards for ballet. The little things add up to the big things and can be gone in the blink of an eye. Beyond grateful to be able to celebrate this with each other and remember those whose holidays may look a lot different this year.

A big congrats to Addie for trying a new competition this weekend to get her first ever choreographed solo onstage before we begin our studio competition season! We are so proud of you, Addie! And more than the awards… proud of the friends you made and pushing yourself to do this all on your own!

Addie received the following:

Xtreme Platinum solo adjudication, 4th Place overall Senior Age Division,
Senior Miss Xtreme Dance,
Jazz Scholarship,
College letter of acceptance into the B.F.A. Dance Major Program for Valdosta State University (which obviously can’t be used as a freshman in high school but what a great honor!)

Another November birthday!!!! 15 today for Reese!!! I hope your day is spent doing exactly what you want while in New York! I’m so proud of your growth in the last few months. I feel like there is a whole new side of you that you’re allowing everyone to see this season and it is truly a joy. Enjoy the throwback photos- it is crazy to see the changes, not only physically, but in confidence and maturity as well. Happy birthday!!!!!

Ok. Today is a very special day, and because until about 5:30pm, I had no idea it was November 3rd….

Kaitlyn Knight- I could never ever forget your birthday, but due to several reasons, I simply did not realize today was the day.

Ten slides and the collages were still not enough to post so many memories that you’re part of and to show how you’ve grown over the years. I am so thankful and grateful and lucky to have you not only as a student, but as someone I trust and love like family. You have become a leader, and I am SO HAPPY that you are my oldest of the bunch for season 10. It was meant to be and we are a better team for it. This season has already proven to be so special in just the first two months. The rest will only get better.

Happy dancing queen birthday to our firecracker. You are so loved and please forgive me for not posting this sooner. Happy happy 17!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what I’ve always wanted for big and little sisters. Ever since I began this tradition in season 1, I wanted to badly for younger dancers to have bonds with older dancers, creating memories, and being there for each other to support, cheer on, and do activities with- just like these photos. The day you big sisters just gave these littles is so special and they will be on cloud 9 for weeks.
