There have been a lot of things lately that have brought me to my knees lately in a good way! Mainly the thought of so much change and so much growth happening spiritually, in business, life and family has brought back strong feelings of anxiety and fear that I lived with for most of my life which would typically paralyze me. I have come out of a lot of that (forced to out of necessity to take care of my family), but it still finds its way back in.

The thought of starting over somewhere new has always been exciting to me as a Marine Corp kid, but I have been in this area for a long time and have gotten comfortable. I have fears I will lose business, friends, all sorts of things and this sends me into a spin of anxiety. But being comfortable is not what life is about. You have to be uncomfortable to GROW.

What if I can't keep my business going the way I need to???

What if we fail at homesteading???

What if....what if....what IFFFFFF......

My mom always told me not to live in "What If" land. It's a scary place where you can go down roads that ultimately can create so much self doubt that you forget why you are being called to do something different....something more!

God TRULY started opening doors to us when we decided to put Him first. It's incredibly difficult to explain how my will to control everything in my life and make things happen got me really REALLY far and giving up control completely is really hard. Trusting God completely is really hard. I want to start spinning out and take control again. When I take control I have to pry open doors with a crowbar. With God in control the doors gently and sometimes fiercely fly open. And if it's not a door, it's a window or skylight.

So, while things unfold as they are meant to, I will continue to work hard, pray hard and dream hard. If there is one thing I have learned in the last couple of years it's that what you expect and what happens are never the same thing lol.

The average cost of a service dog and training for dog and Veteran is 15k. We want to go above and beyond that so that we can help as many local Veterans with this event as possible.

American Warrior Initiative – Educating, Inspiring and Giving Back to our Military Families and Veterans. I’ve always had tons of respect and a huge heart for our military and have been searching for a good way to give back – yesterday I found it!

I know I have had a lot of real estate/mortgage posts lately....sooo booooring.....
However☝️, when your livelihood depends on it and things are a'changin' it needs to be addressed.

Not only are we all going to be navigating the NAR stuff we are also facing tighter and more stringent underwriting in mortgage.

So, with that being said, it's time for a TEAM mentality all around so that we can help our buyers/borrowers reach their goals and also so we can provide for our families.

One thing I am noticing is that everyone is in a hurry to get offers in, but not in a huge hurry to get documents in. We as lenders need you, the agents to support us in our doing everything necessary to guarantee a loan approval. I got around 8 applications in yesterday and today and everyone is in a hurry to get approval letters. I get it!!! I want y'all out there too! But we don't want to do things in such a hurry that we miss something and the buyer ends up losing money/disappointed/angry. So agents, please encourage our peeps to appreciate how thorough we are and how much we care! Taking the time on the front end saves tears on the back end. I hate tears except happy ones while watching Hallmark Christmas movies.

So, that's all! Lenders are gonna step up to support you however we can with the changes, we just need a little support too.

The difference that the human touch makes is what is going to keep our jobs relevant and also keep us in business when others fail.

For the love of people.....

That is why I love my job. I am rediscovering my WHY this year by going back to my roots, working like a rookie, and doing absolutely everything possible for my clients and referral partners.

It's so easy to get caught up in the negative, your own shortcomings, and results that aren't what you wanted/expected. The most important thing to me is taking care of people. Honestly, that may sound like lip service, but it's true. I got so hung up on the things that weren't bringing me joy and focusing on the losses versus the incredible WINS!!!
