Carpenter ants and termites are on the move! Keep an eye out for wood damage caused by these two. Carpenter ants can be winged or wingless, just like termites, but their front wings are longer than the back wings. Carpenter ants also leave sawdust like debris while termites make mud tubes.

With subterranean termites, pay close attention to the shape of the body, straight antennae, and milky wings to decipher the difference between termites and ants!

Ants have bent antennae, a narrower waist, and wings of different lengths.
Termites have straight antennae, thick waist, and even length wings.
