Congratulations to the Embark Program Choir at Salem State University for their wonderful performance last week!

Music Therapist, Billie Junget, led the choir in performing Disney songs from The Little Mermaid, The Muppet Movie, Moana, and High School Musical.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day, a part of Autism Acceptance Month in the month of April.

Music Therapy can greatly benefit some people with autism.

According to the American Music Therapy Association, Inc.'s fact sheet, the "engaging nature and accessibility of music often elicits positive responses of individuals with ASD (Kern, 2014)...Music therapy interventions focus on enhancing social, communicative, motor/sensory, emotional, and academic/cognitive functioning, or music skills in individuals with ASD."

Here at Roman Music Therapy Services, we know this to be true.

We are lucky to work with such wonderful clients who spark so much joy and creativity in our work every day!

Tag a person you know who celebrates people on the spectrum!
