Whitman Kappa Alpha Theta - Delta Delta Chapter

What’s up y’all?!? I’m RJ, and I am a recently graduated Theta! I graduated in three years with a degree in philosophy! I’m applying for graduate schools in Speech and Language Pathology and will be working as a substitute teacher for this next year in my hometown, Big Bear Lake, CA. I am one of Theta’s previous Vice President of Membership, so if you have any questions feel free to reach out! This summer, I am working for a program called the United States Adaptive Recreational Center (USARC). We provide opportunities for people with disabilities to get out on the lake and do some water sports (waterskiing, kayaking, tubing, sailing, fishing, and tetra sailing). The program has other summer activities like rock wall climbing, bungee trampoline, zip lining, and so many other fun opportunities! In the winter, we also teach skiing! This week, we are doing our overnight camping sessions, and I am so excited to show y’all around!

Hi! My name is Amy and this week I'll be doing an Instagram takeover! I'm going into my sophomore year as an Art and Hispanic Studies major(s). At Whitman I'm involved with InterVarsity, the Whitman Orchestra, and Drip, the dance team.

I'm from Salem Oregon and I love the Oregon coast! Every year my grandparents take us - me, my sister and our cousins - to Devil's Lake in Lincoln City on the Oregon coast for what we call 'Cousins' Camp.' I'm excited to share this fun tradition with you this week!

Hi everyone! My name is Naomi and I am taking over the Theta Instagram this week! I'm a rising sophomore from Bellingham, WA, majoring in Psychology +French, and Politics. I will be serving as the Vice President of DEI for Theta in the Fall 2024 semester, and am also the chair of the Nominations and Appointments committee for Whitman's student government. My family is on a trip to Paris and Dijon in France to celebrate my sister's and my graduation from high school. I apologize in advance for all the confusing time differences that may occur, as I will be 9 hours ahead of where Whitman is situated. Now that the spring semester has come to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on all of the amazing things that we did this semester. We grew our sibling-hood, we had very successful philanthropy and service events that helped us learn a lot about giving back to our community, we bonded so much as a chapter through the many fun events we held, and we said goodbye to the most wonderful group of seniors. We are so grateful for all the opportunities we were given, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for next semester! 💛🖤
