We don’t really need things like ammonia, PPDs, resorcinol, and a whole slew of other ingredients that cause hormone disruption and cancer. My client came in needing what I would consider a color correction. She has been doing an “all over bleach” job . Meaning everything got lightened. She wanted more natural highlighted look with easier maintenance. I went in and foiled the heck out of her hair to break up that line of demarcation and pulled through some of the really brassy parts without over-processing her hair. Finished her with a gloss to tone some unwanted gold. That part is tricky because you have so many different unwanted levels of warmth you have to pick one to battle. You can’t always save the whole head. But over time it will become perfect. 🤌🏼

This is the Moderate Maintenance appt. This is for clients who already have established a highlight pattern and have been to see me i the last 3-4 months. It includes a touch up on your Lived in Color using foils, a base color of some sort and a toning color or gloss. I always make sure to do a deep conditioning and either a cut or dusting of the ends. My main priority is always the condition of your scalp and hair. Plan on hanging out with me for 21/2 hours.

To wash or not to wash, that is the question. I’m gonna pull out some old school educator verbiage and say … “We must have a clean palette to create, a painter does not paint on a dirty canvas”. This has always been my rule since 1991 😂 ok I know things change and that was a long times ago but that hasn’t. In these times with the internet telling people not to wash their hair, people working from home and the use of root touch up powders, it has become harder and harder to get this point across. You can wash 24 hour before and always with a good chelating shampoo provided by yours truly!
