📌Save these fun Summertime Snacks for your kids📌
Summer is here, your kids are off from school and you know they’re going to be asking for snacks 😂
Kids are intuitive and will typically eat what they need! They tire of foods and then are on to the next!
Do not underestimate how important snacks are as they are mini meals and often needed to meet the energy of growing bodies. It also gives us a chance to offer new foods.
Here’s a few tips⬇️
1️⃣Setting aside time for snacks, having them sit and take a break so they can focus on their hunger and fullness
2️⃣Serve a variety of foods containing protein, carbohydrates and fats as they each digest at different rates
3️⃣Keep it simple and quick
4️⃣Structure the timing of snacks and meals every 2-4 hours making sure your kids are hungry when they sit to eat as then they are more likely to try new foods.

Everything starts in the gut so if somethings off in the gut it’s going to be off every where else.
Here’s some Gut Health Tips from Amanda ↙️
🌮Fiber: aim for 30g fiber a day with foods such as chick peas, chia seeds, apples, avocados and more!
🌮Water before coffee: this is for your gut + hormones! And don’t forget to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate throughout the day. Getting a cute timed water bottle may even help you!
🌮Sleep: Skip the late night doom scrolling and opt for getting 7-8 hours of sleep a night.
🌮Probiotics: Great for your gut but not all probiotics are the same so it’s best to talk with Amanda to see which is the right one for you!
🌮Manage stress: a few ways to manage stress are making sure you’re moving your body, yoga, meditation, journaling or anything that feels good to you!
🌮GI map test: one of our most popular tests! The GI Map test is used to assess the status of your gut microbiome and gut function, to create an individualized protocol encompassing nutrition, supplementation and lifestyle changes.
This is amazing because we can literally see if there is pathogen, infection, overgrowth, yeast, etc and to what level of severity it is present 🤯

Owning my own practice has allowed me to help those heal from disordered eating, align with their values for improved health and wellness by finding peace and joy in themeselves and food again.
🍏Amanda: I love being an RD because i get to be a part of someone’s healing journey and help them become the best version of themselves!
🍎Madison: Hi! My favorite thing about being an RD is following patients along their recovery journey and watching them heal their relationship with food!

We say it all the time…restricting doesn’t work 🙅♀️ and can even lead you to end up binge eating. We believe all foods fit 🧩
So instead of focusing on what you “can’t” have what about shifting the focus to what can you ADD ➕

Chia Seeds and Flax Seeds are so great to add to yogurt bowls, smoothies and so much more!
Spinach, ginger and turmeric are also great to add to your smoothie!

Today I ‘graduated’ from a monthly program with my nutritionist Maddie. I have worked with Maddie for the last 3 years as I recovered from an eating disorder. Feeling healthy, balanced and on the road to recovery I am now confident with the tools I have learned to manage more independently. I gratefully appreciate all her compassion and support. I have learned so much in the last 5 years. This was a hard battle, but well worth the fight! I am worth it!
