Our seniors were ducks the other day. DUCKS. No, I didn’t ask them or tell them to be ducks. Honestly, one of our girls did it once, and the entire class was like, “WHAT WAS THAT?!” Next thing I knew, the whole class was involved. On so many social media outlets, all we see is the professional dancing to the extreme. What we never see is the dedication that goes into getting them there, or the pain of injuries that set them back and were overcome, or the hardships they experienced during their journey. We also never see the bloopers, the laughter, the tears, the friendships and families made behind the scenes of these journeys. So, here’s a little piece of our journey and our hearts to give to you today. A little behind the scenes of the chaos that is dance, studio life, and just being a kid and teen. Enjoy the chaos. We’ll be performing at 5:30pm to welcome Santa’s arrival at 6pm, and are so excited! #mondaymotivation These girls try so hard, and when they don’t do it well, they try, try again. They never give up and have committed to being better than ever before. They know that with hard work, dedication, and consistency comes RESULTS! I’m inspired by them too, and when things get difficult and life gets hard, I remember their love of dance and their dedication, and keeps me committed to them through the worst of times. Life is hard, and being a kid is hard. In order to succeed, you have to take some time for yourself and get some rest, too. Listen to your body, try to give it what it needs, and make sure that when you’re ready to do something, you give it your all. So rest up today, my lovely dancers, and take care of yourselves. Drink water, finish your homework, rest your brains and your bodies, and come to dance tonight (and this week) ready to commit!! We’re ready for you, and we’re ready to WORK! ❤️
