It is also fibrous so it acts like a toothbrush by scrubbing your teeth every time you bite down! Summer break is here! With the kids being home for the summer, you might find yourself having to replenish snacks a lot quicker! We want to remind you that the more sugary snacks your child eats, the higher they are at risk of developing cavities. While indulging in a sweet treat is fine occasionally, be sure to limit the sugary snack items available to your summer breakers in the pantry. Find teeth friendly alternatives such as veggies and dip, yogurt and berries, sliced watermelon, cheese, apples, and hummus. So yummy!!

It’s Children's Day! Children’s Day is the second Sunday of June every year. The purpose of this day is to remind us that children are the future. Children are playful, bright, imaginative, and curious, and we can learn a lot from them! With that being said, Happy Children’s Day to all of our amazing little patients!

The basic substance of the tooth forms when the fetus is about 6 weeks of age. Next, the hard tissue that surrounds the teeth is formed. This typically happens at 3 to 4 months of gestation. After the child is born, the next stage occurs when the tooth actually protrudes through the gum. 👶🦷

In between teeth is where the majority of people don't clean as much. The remains from the food that you eat and the bacteria in your mouth produce acid, and all that combined with saliva ends up as plaque on your teeth. If you don’t clean the spaces between your teeth properly, this plaque buildup can lead to decay of the coating (enamel) and inner part of your tooth.
