That being said, some people have asked to help and for that we are very appreciative. If you are interested in donating you can have books shipped directly to the library or you may contact me. I will post collection sites in the next few days!
Phase 1 of Olive's next initiative happened today! So exciting, this has been a passion project of Olive's for a couple of years. She sent letters to County Executive Mark Hackel, Mayor Lori Stone, and Superintendent Livernois. My baby is going to change the world!!
So proud to be part of this group of amazing women!
Women of Warren envision a new city WARREN — In keeping with Women’s History Month, the Women of Warren shared their vision board for the city at the March 26 City Council meeting.
Please note the time and location change. It’s a great cause if you’re able to help.
A well deserved article, Michael is out in the community constantly looking for ways to improve the community for everyone! We are so lucky to have Michael in Warren advocating for its' residents at every turn.
Building community, one coffee cup at a time WARREN — Warren resident Michael Howard has been actively involved in the community for nearly a decade, hosting block parties, founding Warren’s first Juneteenth celebration, running for City Council — and now organizing monthly community coffee nights.
We spent the weekend loading up the library with its first round of Women’s History Month books, bookmarks, notebooks, stickers and other goodies. Come check it out!
As usual I’m delinquent in posting updates. All of these books and goodies (notebooks, cross stitch kit, pencils, bookmarks) are out in the library now.
Come celebrate Black History Month with us!
We couldn’t put out the flag because the ground is frozen, but look at all these wonderful Martin Luther King Jr books that are waiting to be read.
Please read and return the books so more friends can enjoy them as well.
Hope to see you there tonight! This is a great event for visiting with some great people as well as helping kids right here in our community!
Ya girl made the front page!

The month of May was chosen to commemorate the immigration of the first young Japanese fisherman named Manjiro Nakanohama, known as John Mung, who arrived to the United States May 7, 1873. He was also considered the first ambassador to Japan.
Furthermore, May 10, 1869, marks the anniversary of the first transcontinental railroad in which the majority of the workers were Chinese immigrants.
