JAMTARA MEDICAL MISSION HOSPITAL
We are thankful to God for the pioneering missionaries that came to India to share the good news of the Gospel. In 1868, a few missionaries came to the village of Jamtara. Along with their primary goal of being witnesses of the love of Jesus Christ, they saw the need to provide medical help to the poor and needy in nearby villages. Based on the need at that time, they even set up a leprosy clinic in Jamtara. When the last foreign missionary left Jamtara, a few Indian brethren were invited to use the available land and buildings to establish the work of Bengal Bible Training institute(BBTI).
To keep the initial vision of the missionaries alive, the current leadership started conducting medical camps in and around Jamtara. Over the past few years, several medical camps were conducted by medical professionals from different parts of the world.
As a continuation of the medical vision to serve the poor and needy, the current leadership decided to build a permanent medical facility at Jamtara. Fully trusting in the Lord, the construction of the new hospital is started. The approximate cost of this project is $400,000. If God burdens your heart for the poor and needy in India, this is a worthy project to support.
One of the urgent needs is finding committed doctors to serve in the hospital once it is completed. If you are interested, please contact George P. John at 972-814-3015 or George Mathew at 847-530-7170 or email at: [email protected]
URGENT MEDICAL NEEDS
Several evangelists and their families are going through immense struggles because of the heavy burden of medical bills. Some of them have ongoing health care needs and others are urgently needed surgeries and even transplants. Let us open our hearts and hands for these suffering saints.
ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER IN THIS NEW YEAR
"Abraham Lincoln tops the polls as the most popular US president of all time. His troubled presidency came at the culmination of a lifelong struggle with depression, a nervous breakdown, and neighbors who were known to set su***de watches over him in his youth. The night he was assassinated, Lincoln's pockets were stuffed with newspaper clippings that praised him, his leadership, and the positive impact he was having" (ODB). Words of encouragement from the American public made a huge difference in his life, especially becoming a great president.
We all need encouragement one way or other. Many full-time evangelists desperately in need of encouragement. Some need prayer, some need words of encouragement, and others need financial support. God immensely blessed so many of us this year with financial abundance. May we take some portion of it to bless an evangelist during 2023 who is desperately struggling to finance education of his children or take care of himself or his family member's health, or to take care of a much-needed surgery which is postponed for want of funds. Some need transportation and some need a place for worship.
