I’m beaming with pride today as I announce our Gin and Vodka. Some fun facts below about our newest spirits :

- They’re both distilled locally and 100% organic!
- The gin is my own proprietary recipe that uses a cane spirit base for a more viscous and richer mouth feel. The gin starts with a hint of pine and juniper that fades away and does a great job of balancing citrus and floral notes! Some very cool botanicals for our gin are lemongrass, white peppercorn, black raspberries, lavender, and orange peel!
- The vodka is the cleanest vodka you will put to your lips. It’s made of 100% local and organic corn…this also makes it naturally gluten free. There is absolutely no bite on the mid palate or finish on this vodka.
We’re 100% craft, not owned by some corporate conglomerate….we are as small business mom and pop shop as you can get. We also donate $1 for every bottle we sell to local charities.
These are starting to hit stores in DC already and will be in some restaurants and bars around town shortly as well. Distribution to other markets is also coming at some point down the road. If you’re local, come by any of our stores that carry it (will make a separate post highlighting those). We will also have it loaded on our website for purchases for those that aren’t local to DC.

***some updates for you all***
Wow, we are SPEECHLESS. We listed 4 single barrels for sale and you all sold them out in 32 minutes! We asked for support and as per the usual, you all over delivered! SO SO SO thankful to be a very small part of this very amazing whiskey community!
So what’s happening now and what next? Now, we’re in the process of packing all the orders that came in and they all should be dropped off to FedEx by tomorrow hopefully. If you have a local pickup, that is ready at the store for you to come grab them. Please bring your ID and order number.
What’s next? We like to make sure we’re being super diligent with everything we do and won’t bottle whiskey just for the sake of doing it or for the sales. I’ll take a couple of days to catch my breath and we’ll then get right back to the drawing board and re tasting all our barrels again. We’ll then see what we like and what makes the cut for single barrel and what we should potentially think about blending for small batch. I promise that we won’t put out a product that I personally don’t approve (there’s a VERY FUN story from the first release about this that i’ll share in the near future).
What’s next after that? We’re working on finalizing a recipe for a vodka and a gin. And as per everything else we do, we won’t do it until it’s absolutely perfect! After that, there’s a couple of other fun surprises in the works but we can’t reveal everything in one day as that would be no fun ;-)
Seriously, thank you to each and every one of you! Without you, none of this would have been possible. I look forward to hearing your responses and reactions to tasting the bottles. Please tag us in any and all posts as you receive them. Cheers!

We did the first 2 parts of this. Now excited and nervous for the 3rd part to get rolling tonight at 8pm EST. Thank you to every single one of you for being SO SO SO amazing and thanks in advance for your support. You all ROCK! Cheers!

It’s like deja vu all over again from last week.
Re launch is TONIGHT at 8pm EST tonight.
As most of you know by now, we had our site crash due to overwhelming demand upon release last week (thank you). Since then, we’ve been working tirelessly to come back stronger and better than ever before. We’ve had the help of the guy that was on the launch team for Siri and iCloud who happens to specialize in server capacity and scaling to ensure it doesn’t happen again.
I anticipate the bottles will all be sold out shortly after we go live so please make sure to spread the word to your loved ones so you all can get your orders in.
Details - 2 barrels of 7 year old bourbon @ $101 each and 2 barrels of 5 year Rye @ $51 each. The bourbons are from Bardstown, KY and the ryes are from Lawrenceburg, IN. There is a limit of 1 bottle per type per person.
Thank you again to every single one of you for your overwhelming love, support, and patience while we worked out the kinks. Now, let’s doooooo this!!
FamilyOwned

As many of you know, our Dream Spirits website crashed last week due to overwhelming demand. We’re in the process of rebuilding the site. We’ll update all of you with a new date and time for the re launch.
In the meanwhile, a few of you got orders in on the site before it crashed. If you had your order shipped, the bottles are already in transit. If you selected local pickup, your bottles are ready to be picked up at the store.
We thank you all so much for your patience and your support. The comeback is greater than the setback. Cheers to an amazing whiskey community!

So as many of you may know by now, our launch was 8pm EST last night. And due to the overwhelming demand and number of hits, the site crashed (even despite being on a dedicated AWS max scalable server).
I know it’s frustrating for you all as it was for us as well. But I have to see the silver lining in it - thank you to all of you for the ever growing love and support. It’s amazing to see so much demand for our products. We promise you that we’ll learn from this, we’ll get better, and we’ll be back better than ever before.
There are plenty of bottles left as the site crashed very soon after launching. Our team is working as we speak on rebuilding the site and fixing the server issues. We will announce a re launch date and time as soon as we have it finalized and look forward to all of you being a part of our Dream at that point.
Thank you SO much again for the uplifting and encouraging messages, texts, and phone calls. Seeing the whiskey community support and encourage us last night instead of complaining and moaning about missing out on some bottles has continued to restore our faith in this community and humanity in general. We even had 2-3 random mini charity drives pop us because the thought was “prav would find a way to take a negative and turn it into a positive. So let’s use this time we’re in front of a computer screen anyways to donate to charity!” SO heartwarming.
You all fu***ng rock. Every one of you. Thank you for everything. My words will never be able to accurately describe the support we have felt over the last 16 or so hours!

Proof of “working” over the weekend. This is some of the aftermath of the glassware used while tasting through several of the rye whiskey barrel samples.
Jokes aside, this truly is a lot of work. I’m even more impressed every time I do this by all the master distillers and blenders that do this on a day in and day out basis. Hats off to all of you. When you’re as passionate about this as I am (and I know several of you are), it isn’t easy because we can’t bottle just anything…it has to be just right!
I believe we’re VERY close to honing in on our first releases (more details to follow). For now, please make sure you’re following our social media channels and please sign up for updates on the site…it will never be spam; truly just updates. Cheers!

. It’s all fun and games until you have to go through and taste almost a hundred barrels to see which ones are deemed “special enough” to be bottled as single barrels....or wait, is that also fun and games too?
Whenever people ask me what has been the toughest part about trying to launch (please follow if you already don’t), I tell them the toughest part is honestly going to be the tasting and deciding. It sounds like a joke because it’s so much fun. But it truly is a daunting task to narrow down your favorites from literally almost a hundred barrels (all samples not pictured here).
Doing this tasting has made given me an even greater sense of respect for the master distillers and blenders than I did before. This is no easy job. Maybe that’s because I demand perfection of myself? Maybe that’s because I won’t compromise quality for anything? Maybe that’s because my family’s name will be on every bottle and that means more the world to me? Maybe it’s because I know my Dream doesn’t become a reality without your live and support and I don’t want to take that for granted? Maybe all of the above?
Back to the hole I crawl with my glasses in tow. Wish me luck. Cheers to you all.

Let the games begin! What a blast this journey has been so far and it’s only getting to be more and more fun on a daily basis. As cheesy and cliche as it is, it’s true what they say about loving your job and not feeling like you’re ever working.
brings us our barrels being thrown on the rack for them to each patiently wait their turn to be tasted, then bottled as a single barrel or thrown into a medley with their cousins as a small batch.
Cheers to dreams becoming reality. Cheers to Dream Spirits.
