Jericho Covered Bridge in Harford County MD
One of my new obsessions are covered bridges. This was taken near dusk at the supposedly "haunted" Jericho Covered Bridge in Harford County MD. This was setting up for a long exposure as the pickup truck came rumbling through the bridge.

Woodrow Wilson Bridge at Jones Point Park
This photograph was captured beneath the Woodrow Wilson Bridge at Jones Point Park in Alexandria, a brief stroll from old town. It's an excellent location for street photography, bustling with activity and featuring the impressive architecture of the bridge. It comes highly recommended as a photography spot. The image depicts a father and his son observing other children playing with an RC car. It seems the father was explaining the mechanics of the remote control car to his young son, who watched in fascination. I chose this shot because it conceals what they are observing, focusing instead on the moment of connection between father and son as they witness something captivating.

U.S. Capitol, Washington D.C.
My family and I just moved into the US last December. I remember when I first saw the Capitol, I was just amazed by it... I had to take a photograph. Working as a photographer for almost 15 years in Singapore, I wanted to make sure I captured the image right. Using a 50mm, I took around 6 portrait shots in panorama, then stitched all the images up in Photoshop. I often use this process for a lot of my commercial work.

Went to shoot the lotuses but on the way out, this lily caught my eye- white interior glowing in the sun, and then the dragonfly landed. I moved around to get the lily pad and dark water where I liked them, and this is the result, slightly cropped, no post-processing.

Burnside Farms during tulip season in Nokesville, VA
I took this photo during the mid-season for tulips back in the end of March. As someone who prefers vintage lenses for their characteristics, including flaws, I love the surprises you can get from using them. While this lens, which is the Nikkor 180mm 2.8 ED AIS, has lens coatings to help against light abnormalities, this lens flare showed up regardless. With sunset soon ending I knew in that oddly crouched moment (us photographers know those types of positions we put ourselves through to get that photo) that I had to seize the moment right then.
While I've seen lens flares used plenty of times in photos I never thought I would have an opportunity to use one in a framing sense. While I'm sure on the outside I looked like I was in some odd yoga pose of bent knees and a contorted back, in my viewfinder I saw this and couldn't let it slip by without a shutter click.
I hope you all enjoy this photo as much as I was finding it in my camera.

Shenandoah National Park - Little Devil Stairs Lookout
My first real attempt at astrophotography. I finally got a proper lens that allows me to drop the aperture low enough to get a really great view of the sky. First time seeing the image on my camera it took my breath away. I have many more plans to go back out and do more.

Dulles International Airport
I have always thought that the architecture of Dulles International Airport is both futuristic and historic at the same time. The design at the time was the beginning of the jet age. A style that now is historic in nature. A modern upgrade they have made at Dulles is the new LED lighting system that can be any color to celebrate special occasions. In this case the terminal was lit in pink to celebrate Cherry Blossom season in Washington DC.

This was photographed in my backyard in April 2022. It was the second year mommy fox had a litter, under our backyard tool shed. 2021 she had two kits and only one survived. In 2022 she had a litter of 6 kits. In the photograph are two of the 6 kits hanging out with mommy on a nice spring day. During this photograph event (April 2022), they have just started moving around and working on their courage to explore outside the den.

Key West, Florida
I took this photo of the Blue Morphos at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory first thing in the morning. As with other butterflies, Blue Morphos are most active then. They were moving so fast that I patiently waited for them to come into focus and fired off a round of shots. With a little luck, I was able to captured all three in different flight poses.

Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik was our last stop on a fabulous small boat cruise of the Croatian islands and the Adriatic coast.
The Old Town is known as the ?Pearl of the Adriatic? and is surrounded by famous high stone walls. For a fee you can walk the entire perimeter and this shot was taken just before sunset from one of the highest sections looking out over the historic skyline and the sea.
A wonderful way to end a near-perfect trip?
