In Ukraine, when a missile or artillery shell hits, roofs and windows are blown out of the surrounding houses. Our goal is to quickly rebuild and get people back in their homes before winter. The motto for our initiative with East Sos (Схід SOS): “Fast, Effective, Inexpensive.”

Today, on Giving Tuesday, we urgently need your help once more.

Next week, I depart for my fifth trip to aid Ukraine since the war began in February 2022. I hope to make a difference in the lives of Ukrainians displaced by an ongoing war by continuing my work with Vostok SOS.

This winter, Ukrainian families are facing a dire need for shelter, food, and medical assistance. Your compassion and support can play a pivotal role in making an immediate and profound impact. By contributing funds, you can help sustain the lifesaving field operations of the 300-person Vostok SOS team in Ukraine. Your assistance will directly benefit those displaced by the ongoing conflict, providing crucial aid and relief during this critical moment.

To contribute, please visit https://www.vostok-sos-usa.org/new-page-1

Thank you for once again for standing with Ukraine in this crucial moment.

Best wishes,

Sean

As Russian forces continue their unjustified invasion of Ukraine, Vostok SOS is working to amplify the voices of victims to begin the time of healing.

February 9 started with a discussion on the humanitarian situation in the Zaporizhzhya region with theDeputy of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council. Oksana and Denis from Vostok SOS also participated in the discussion. This meeting was held within 20 miles of the front line with Russia.

Passing through a checkpoint leaving Zaporizhzhia, we noticed a trend seen at other checkpoints around the country. There is always national police alongside soldiers. When asked why that was, Oksana Kuiantseva, Board Member of Vostok SOS, said the soldiers are not allowed to search civilian vehicles. We congratulated them for upholding democratic traditions even in a war zone.
After, Sean Kennedy of .sos.usa met with Svitlana Tyschenko, head of Petro-Mykhailivka Hromada of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Today, Vostok SOS successfully evacuated Galina and her five grandchildren from Yasne Village near Liman.
