Our team, led by PAHO/WHO Representative for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Countries, Dr. Amalia Del Riego visited Grenada, where we met with the Hon Philip Telesford, Minister of Health, Dr Shawn Charles, Chief Medical Officer, and other Ministry of Health officials to discuss ongoing support following the impact of .
During the visit, we toured the Princess Royal Smart Hospital and Hillsborough Smart Health Centre in Carriacou, gaining valuable first-hand insights into the current situation and the needs of the community. A meeting was also held with Samaritan’s Purse, who has set up a field hospital in Carriacou.

Yesterday, PAHO/WHO Representative for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Countries, Dr. Amalia Del Riego, concluded her mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines by visiting shelters and the Georgetown Smart Health Centre.
She toured these facilities with PAHO specialists deployed in the areas of environmental health, damage assessment and mental health and psychosocial support.
On a mission to St. Vincent and the Grenadines after , PAHO/WHO Representative for Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Countries, Dr. Amalia Del Riego met with Prime Minister Hon. Ralph Gonsalves to discuss ongoing efforts and recommendations.
Visits were made to hospitals and health centers in Canouan and Union Island, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Hon. St. Clair Prince and the Permanent Secretary, Cuthbert Knights, to assess and support health infrastructure and public health recovery.

• Store, turn upside down, or remove outdoor containers that may collect water.
• Change water in vases and flower pots once a week.
• Use wire mesh/mosquito nets on doors and windows.
