Microdoc - the Creation of Vladyslav Detiuchenko's "Mariupol" for Company | E
Over the past three weeks, Ukrainian choreographer Vladyslav Detiuchenko has been working with Company | E to create a new dance work titled "Mariupol," premiering June 10 & 11 in Washington, DC. Introducing Tori Carter, our 2022 Liz Cherry Jones Memorial Commission recipient!⁣⁣⁣⁣ Tori is in the studio today creating her new work, "Forces," that will premiere in Richmond in just a few weeks.⁣⁣⁣⁣ The Liz Cherry Jones Memorial Commission starting in 2021 in memory of the late Liz Cherry Jones, an artist and educator, and sister to Company | E Board Member Matt Jones. The program commissions a current student or recent alum of Howard University to set a piece on the company. We are thrilled to have Tori working with us this year!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
